I think when N900 is finally shipping that will lower the prices on N97. If N900 will be sold thru t-mobile with contract, then the choice is clear. Otherwize I like S60 better so far. Being open doesn't bring value to me since I will not be modifying the system on the phone my-self.

honestly am very disapointed with this phone, it freezes and malfunction at will. Not a good advert for nokia after such high hopes, i will high light four major deffects on this 1. the touch screen is no where near iphone, 2.it freezes and nothing will work until u remove battery and reboot, 3.the camera night mode is flawed and useless, 4.sometimes the phone just tells u that u are out of memory even when your phone is empty, then your contacts just freezez. Honestly i feel so cheated by nokia and if i have my way i will sue them heavily for deceiving a lot of people. IF YOU SEE THIS PHONE RUN WITH YOUR MONEY

N97 has sold over 2 million units in the first three months of availability beating targets set by Nokia itself. N97 is therefore a sucess for the company and the news is all over the internet.
5800 has sold 8 millions units and UKs best selling phone (via carphonewarehouse)

beware that if something happens to your phone even within a month Nokia will not replace it with a new phone. They will replace it with a refurbished phone. A lot of people are having issues with camera or keyboards. So be prepared if your phone dies even within weeks of buying you will end up with some one else's junk.

The N97 is a very good,, the P speed is 434 which is more than enough to power and run the N97 smoothly. The Iphone 3G as got only a P speed of 412 and the ram of 128, And it was everything but not slow. The increase of a little bit of ram in the 3Gs and Omnia hd was just a marketing gimmik by iphone and samsung to boost up sales,,, Confirmed study and test have showed that no significant and noticeable speed improvement have been noticed between the 3Gs and 3G even with the ram and pro speed of 600 in the 3Gs.

anyways with regard to ur restart prob id recommend , reinstalling the firmware via the pc :0
should work!
