Had the phone for a month and a half and my motherboard crashed.
My friend has his lock switch break off within a month.

I am very disappointed with the n97 though Nokia are the best and I have been using Nokia for years now. It is not worth the money you pay for, it is not a friendly user, it is so irritating that sometimes you just want to smash it so hard against the wall; the stylus should have been built-in and not hanging. It can never replace the e90 as people mentioned. I am back to my e90 at least it is supported by the blackberry software and still the best.

hi i have just got the nokia n97 well actually i have it for 2 weeks now and let me be honest this is an excellent phone but if people have not used a touchscreen phone before then this phone will not be for them there are so many features and not forgetting the huge memory space but be sure to save all your applications to the mass memory if not then the phone will keep on telling you that there is low data to me this phone is the best i have

hello everybody,nokia n97 is very very nice phone really.but nokia n97 mini bad phone really. there is no camera cover... its yakkkkkkk phone too much bad.

I brought the N97 for 2 months now: screen flips from slightest movement, hangs alot when browsing the phone or reciving calls, when i press messages the screen dosent appear unless i touch the screen again and double click. NOKIA very disappointing to use the consumers money as a testing ground.

Had this phone for a few weeks now, however, it hasn't been all smooth sailing. It seems to freeze a lot, opens random things when you click on something completely different, flash can affect photo on automatic settings, screen is shocking - ghosting or 'burn-in' effects and a 'scan line' like appearance (may be a fairly isolated problem, but I have heard other users complain). Battery life is decent, but still below what was expected.
Apart from all these negative points, the phone excels at, taking great photos, has sturdy build, great sound quality, and sadly thats all I can think of at the moment.
Overall a decent phone for the end-user who wants great features and doesnt really care about specs, or all the tiddly bits, etc. Easy to use keyboard. Basically the same old aging symbian hardware and software with a touch UI chucked on top - almost like touch support was an after thought. Nokia really need to overhaul the existing symbian platform and got to Symbian 10 or SymbianX or something.
Just my opinion. Love Nokia, don't mind the N97, still worth the upgrade, but the competitors can offer more.

This phone is fantastic...the few problems, before updating software to version 12,are over.
It seems that most of the posts are from people that don't know the true capabilities of this "mobile computer"...I'm a heavy user of smartphones (I use them instead of a computer) from E90, E71 to SE Xperia X1, most of HTC models and N97 is reliable in all aspects. Right now I have the Diamomd 2 and the N97 for almost 2 months. Myself, I don't mind at all to tap twice the screens to open an application...it's a good way to avoid probs. Personnaly I don't like the iphone, never used it, but it has it's place in the market and people are free to use and buy whatever mobile they like...all mobiles, on this level, are similar and at same time different... But no doubt that N97 is a very good mobile and I recommend it! Just my 2 cents...

I have Been using this phone for a month and a half now, its areally irritating ... The Phone hangs...by the time you take the call ...the call gets cut and because of this my phone bill has become double ...not worth it to BUY N97...its NOT WORTH THE MONEY you pay to bye this phone...in last 12 years its my worst experience...

and to say that if u go for 97 then plz check the flash problem seriously because what i have mentioned is very true
finally hd is costind 605usd in india for 16gb thats nice

It takes a while because the pages are pretty big, it's a good thing the 3GS has 7.2Mbps HSDPA or it would take forever.

with the advance of technology, Nokia managed to make the high end phone more and more buggy. Simply answering a call will hang up the N97. won't be reset till you reset the battery - So disappointing! I need to reset the phone a few times everyday, while you are listening to music, if someone calls, it is almost sure the phone will hang up after the call - Terrible experience.
