I just purchased the nokia n97 and it has a few issues with it. firstly the touch screen is NOT very accurate and there are a lot of misses and is irresponsive many a times. secondly applications keep closing on their own. i am running v11 on it. is anyone else facing the same problem?

Hello guys,
Well I purchased the all new Nokia N97 a month ago and I am disappointed with it. There is nothing new in the device and the camera quality is worse than the N82 same 5MP camera. The widgets are also not helpful and have problems connecting to their data sites and handset can hang if you overdo it.
The secondary keypad lock application comes with the phone hangs the phone, so my dealer advised me to not use it and just use the lock switch instead. The device call reception quality is while nice the Wi-Fi reception, I think is not so good. If you use the Opera Mini on that, there is no way to use the WAP connection for it; it only uses the connections in the Internet Profile.
The camera lens are got scratched by the cover which is to protect them and the keys on the qwerty keyboard, believe me very hard to use. The onscreen keyboard needs 2-3 confirmation to insert what you have typed. Phone freezes for 2-5 seconds when opening the keyboard or rotating screen.
I was thinking to buy Iphone 3GS but gone for this because I am Nokia lover, but believe me after this purchase and the decreasing quality of build and support from Nokia end I will not purchase another Nokia in future. Why I purchased the N97 over 3GS is:
FM Transmitter
Mass Storage Mode
Battery Changing in hand
Free to use any operator.
Now for the FM Transmitter thing, it is so worse that the signals don’t even decent. Sony high end Fm receiver have problem in playing the signals within 6 inches range. The battery cover is hard to open and there are 50:50 chances you can broke it up while opening. I use Vodafone and in my country 3GS is also available on it so the network thingie also vanish here. The last is mass storage; I think the iTunes is so fun to use there is no problem to transfer your content via it.
Well here is my review for the revolution in the mobile industry Nokia N97 (what guys at Nokia think).
I say: Don’t buy it, go for the iPhone 3GS or Samsung, Sony Ericsson or LG high end phones.

I have a scratch too on my lense. When I take pictures in daylight I get good quality picture. When I take pictures inside the whole left side of the picture is "blurry/grey", most likely because the flash light bleed into the camera lense through the scratch. I also have stability problems with the n97, causing it to shut down/restart all the time and I am giving it to my vendor for second repair today. (I guess I do not have to say that I am quite dissapointed with this purchase?)

4 weeks old and mine has multiple scratches, simple problem the plastic is smooth on the top where your finger goes but rough and unfinished on the underside, bet the pre production N97s were hand finished to remove and roughness under the lens cover, a stupid mistake, as they proved with the N95 8Gb that a lens cover was not needed, mine is 18 months old and in perfect condition, yet it's new N97 i got to replace it has a scratched lens.

This phone is terrible. The lens are scratched because of the cover. Wasted $1800 NZD . There are slowly scratches emerging between the LED and the camera opening. I hope it dosent go on the camera lense. This is a serious mistake of Nokia and a disagrace to Nokia's quality. They should replace all our back covers. .. Very shameful product in market without testing.

N97 makes me upset...
please dont mind Nokia fans, see why i am i saying this.
The Camera Lens getting scratches by sliding cover. i called Nokia care center, they said they will fix it. but i dont like to use the repaired one, i never use in my life.
Otherwise N97 is superb excluding this measure problem.
it makes me very upset. Nokia ppl should raise this problem. Atleast we can save the money of the otner ppl.
so please forward it to youe friends and save their money.

hey does anyone knows if nokia n97 does come in brown or not? cuz i heard that nokia n97 make brown n97 only for asia like china, vietnam, japan around asian area i think. I was just wondering is this true? does nokia n97 make brown only in asia area? or it doesn't make brown at all?
