Just a few little improvements (multiple homescreens for flagship devices, kinetic scrolling in contacts/menus, copy&paste in browser, nice looking icons) could preserve them from losing so much marketshare and i don't think this is too much to ask for.

I just got the n97 nam in white.I love this phone so far.I know it has a few issues that can be resolved with ver 11.
I thought the nam came with ver 11 in it.Oh well,not to worry.
Once i get to know it better I'll give my own review.
I've got free garmin navigation on it.

doesn't mean to offend but the difference can't be much clearer..
I don't care about isheep a bit though they're trolling here often.
But Nokia needs to do something MUCH better and time is running out for you NOKIA!!
I had the N97 and now I have the Omnia HD.
1. RAM:
N97 = 128
OMNIA HD = 256
2. CPU:
N97 = 434 MHz processor (no graphics acceleration)
OMNIA HD = 600 MHz processor and graphics accelerator
3. CAMERA:
N97 = 5 Mega pixels
OMNIA HD = 8 Megapixels
4. VIDEO:
N97 = D1 Video 30 FPS
OMNIA HD = HD Video 20- 24 FPS
Summary
The N97 is a good phone, but the OMNIA HD is just in a class of its own. The video is not true HD but it really is about 2 times better than the Video on the N97.
Also the faster CPU and built in graphics accelerator make the OMNIA HD much faster than the N97.
The OMNIA HD also has 2 times the RAM of the N97.
They both run Symbian 5th edition, but it's a shame, because the OMNIA HD is capable of running something much more powerful. I hope they bring out some better apps for the OMNIA HD.

hi guys. Have any of you experience that when u unlock N97 it does not always lighten up the screen????
I have found a solution to that problem so everytime u unlock N97 lights will always come up!!

yes me too,after updated all the info still there,is means not update yet.i already return my n97.too many problem.you should exchange to samsung Omina HD.is much better.

Not a fan of nokia and apple
nokia market share down again, that means we will see all in one phone by nokia
apple. Is qiute satisfied with their patent multituuch, that will stop them from moving far ahead of this competition

Any body tell me, when i update my N97 all settings all applications un changed. why generally in my all previous phones as i update my phone all factory setting resets, all installed applications were uninstalled. but in N97 it remains all as it is.why

All I can say n97 is good overall, it could be better! It is nokia strategy no to put every thing in one phone, so my dream phone will ask me to wait two to three years:(

the E90 is a gr8 phone and for me nothing can beat the communicator, but i want a touchscreen phone with qwerty as well and the N97 has that. The only thing i still need is the quick office editor, and then u can say i have full phone and with addition of n gage :)

tv out does not mean that it works with settelite tv
mobile camera make high quality movie thats called tv out
you can watch it on tv with tv out data cable

If it's under a month old and w/ Optus u can't take it back and a Tech will look @ it, if it's faulty you'll get a new one. Over a month and it just get's sent to be fixed :)
