Hi to all,my nokia n97 is really very good.Does anyone knows where to download UI auto rotation just like it shown in the nokia n97 commercial on TV.I believe the n97 is able to do that better than iphone.If anyone knows pls let us know,especially third party developers.Thank u

A LOT of the screenspace is wasted by the huge "exit" and "back" blocks! It makes the usable space on this phone's screen, very small, MUCH smaller then the iPhone or E90. Why does these blocks not go away when one is browsing or reading e-mails, and only come back when one touches the screen? Or why does Nokia not put them with the red and green buttons on the side?? The phone is not nearly as good as the iPhone OR the E90.

Have you updated your software to v11? Go to your Nokia service center so they can update. Warning though, all messages, contacts, videos/photos and other uploads can be erased. The touch screen of N97 will be noticeably improve. N97 will run smoothly. also, open your option window (you'll see all running programs) and close programs you don't need. The phone (just like your computer) will get confused with so many ongoing programs and will hang..
I also read a good comment in this chat. All downloads and other uploads should be placed in the MASS Memory. Keep your phone memory free as much as possible...
My phone works quite smoothly and have not experienced the "BUGS" that others have been posting. Minor bugs are always present, just like in our computer. And this is a phone, so let's not expect it to run and work as hard as our macs/pcs..

trying to choose iphone 3g or n97, confused.
the touch screen of iphone is much better, but the camera is 3.2 mp it is really bad comparing with n97
besides, iphone apply all kinds of applications and softwares dislike.
can anyone help?

Guys does the N97 have an on screen keyboard (virual keyboard) or not. if i want to use it in landscape mode without the slide keyboard ?

The only thing Nokia is missing is more animation, 3D effects in their O/S.. everybody is using this except Nokia...
Other than that Nokia is and will always be #1

It took me HOURS to transfer all my contacts from E90 to N97, THEN the N97 LOST ALL MY CONTACTS when the battery went flat. Do not buy this phone. It is utter RUBBISH!!

clover7o7, 24 Jul 2009I really want this phone, but I hear alot about the camera ... moreEasy solution. Keep the lens covered all the time. The cover slides quite smoothly, and there is no obstruction present to scratch the lens..
Don't know though if I don't have the right settings yet (havent given much time to study the camera), but my Samsung i780 captures images better than my N97 . Any tips on how to set-up the camera to capture good images?
