Anonymous, 13 Jul 2009-Buggy phone, considering the amount of time before it was ... moreI agree with you, is a failure phone in this point(CPU, RAm, camera) I am verry sorry for this. This device is good in other points, 3.5 inch, full QWERTY keypad, 32GB internal memory. The design is also cool!

-Buggy phone, considering the amount of time before it was released.
-slow cpu.
-Videos and photos takes too long to open.
-lack of smart dialing.
-not capacitive touchscreen.
-nothing great in its camera.
-The rear panel had a problem sitting back into the grooves.
-Closing the keyboard has an annoying loud sound.
-dont have that elegant look, not a head turner like other phones specially iphone.
-The History for contacts option is not available.
-Lack of a Visual Radio application.
-No relevant codecs like DivX and XviD for video playback.
-It all supports AV out but no cables have been included.
-The games are not impressive.
-Its business features are limited to a limited edition of QuickOffice wherein you can’t create documents of your own.
NOTHING SPECTACULAR BUT THE MEMORY. N97 IS JUST A PRETTY GOOD 5800 UPGRADE, BUT NOT AS GOOD AND LIKE THOSE OTHER IPHONE COMPETITORS, NOT LIKE THAT.

Let's not compare Nokia N97 to the Apple iPhone. Both are nice phones by the way. They have their own markets and fanatics. If you don't like it, don't buy it. There are several other phones that you can try (buy) with more or less the same features. Samsung, LG, SE, and HTC offer some of the best in the smartphone market. If you don't like Nokia or Apple, try other brands. We are all civilized here, don't bash other brands just because they don't fit your taste. =)

Ali, 13 Jul 2009Hi to everyone. I have bought a n97 recently and my previou... moregot mine also made in china but its original...i really dont know why nokia is not producing from their own country.
re:phone performance its ok but sometimes got its lag especially transitions probably i dont have the latest firmware mine is still 10 i think they released 11, my prob is that here in oman the FOTA update is not coming its directing to update thru PC...
Re:battery performance its lasting long but only when i turn off the sensors off, one time i turned it on & my phone drained for 4hrs after full battery dont know why, then i turned off the sensors then it lasted for 1 and half days...calling nokia improve this.

hey every1 i wanna buy the new nokia n97 but im begining to have doubts about doing so coz of all the people complaining about how fast it opens pictures and videos......IS IT REALLY SLOW ??????????? :o..... PLZ I NEED SOME HELP repl ; thanks :D !

the nokia n97- aka brilliant. there's no phone out there better than this. (nokia) wouldn't buy anything else.definatly will not be disipointed

nokia n97 o... moreconsidering the form factor, N97 is much better than iphone---removable battery, it is an important issue
n97 is stress resistant, iphone needs expensive fashion accessories, with n97 i dont need the silicon case, etc
n97 loud speaker much better than iphone
iphone3gs still lackss blutooth file trabnfer and file manager,
onlyy good thing about iphone is that there is good hackers like the iphone-dev.org unlock and jailbreak yr iphone, n97 is already "unlock" and easily "jaailbreak"
iphone users need to spend much time to follow the hackers, so ......

im planning to buy mine straight after i finish work :D
get the white though looks cooler plus it has a nice chrome around it, but be sure to get a case for it...wear n tear
if you dont like it, you can sell it for a decent price (considering its not damage or anything) and still have enough to buy the iphone
people just hate N97 coz they cant afford it
