i have changed product code for update and now screen goes white and then doesnt start up any help on curing this or is it knackered lol cheers............

NOKIA updates many softwares but they never update the default web browser:((((((((((((((((
buy it untill we see Skyfire with touch support!!!!

is this all the 6 month hype??!! haha!!
they make you wait for 6 long months of releasing, then announced a poor slow cpu that disappoints many nokia geek fans! then finally after 6 long months of waiting and disappointments it was released with full of bugs! hahahaha!!! then 2 weeks later there will be a new update to fix bugs knowing it was just released!! hahahaha!! what a debut!! shameful!!

hi everyboby ive just bought the nokia N97 i think its a good phone ,until the time i tried to surf the web but the phone keeps hanging on that white screen ,then suddenly displays no gateway reply can someone tell me how to setup my internet settings on this phone .im dissapointed nokia!

this phone is good & excliant. flip sound is good. side slider very nice.the memory is 32gb on board excilent.

pls anybody guide me .currently i m using 5800,i m satsfy with 5800.but when the launch of n97 i want to buy n97.but when we go to feater of 97 is only 5 mp camera and 32 gb memory is upgrade remaining feater is same as 5800.price of 97 is 3 time more as 5800.i m so confused and can not take right decsion.pls guide and advise me,to take good desion

I didn't like my new Nokia the first time. But when I played with it for several days, I decided to keep my 5800 and give my k790a to my relative. A week or so later, I was also interested in N97, as it was showed on Youtube and other sites. I thought N97 would be better than 5800 XM. I am impressed with its physical keyboard, bigger pixel camera, and its sliding body. So I bought N97 too for a good deal ($560 before tax and ship). I've just got it today but haven't played with it yet. As I read your comment that 5800 XM is basically the same, I feel a bit dissatified with this N97. I think your comment is right, and I agree with you.

I have been using this for 2 weeks now.It is an outsatanding piece of machine.Touch response is best in the category almost at par with the iphone even after being a resistive touch compared to the capacitive touch of the iphone.Will beat HTC Blackbery and every other touch phone..And at the end of the day its a symbian...Much better than the Windows based crappy system which needs to be reseted every now and then....Its loaded with features hell of a lot widgets...Beautiful design...Surprisingly light...The new firmware is also available...but touch wood i don't need it as mine is without any bugs as of now....Most of the naysayers point out at the disadvantages of this phone but what I can say is that every phone comes with its own pros and cons... It for u to decide with what all can u manage....

at First before buying this phoen take a look at Samsung Omnia HD i8910. IT is great and I got it last night. No comparison. If you looking for Nokia then can buy 5800 for less than half price. If is same phoen only adding Keyboard. You looking for good Nokia Phone key Board then just buy the E71.
Nokia put a Key board on 5800 and sell it so expensive. Just take a look i8910. you get a same review at Phone Areana compair Nokia N97 with Samsung Omnia HD.

I have a N97 for a month now. It is an interesting combination between an average Nokia (N series) phone and iPhone. The menu is unusual and is not easy to get use to. I did not figure out what is the use of the touch pen? Is very small, bad designed and practically impossible to use. You can only leave it in the phone box, otherwise you have big chance to loose it.

aggagaga, 02 Jul 2009should i buy this phone or not i have samsung s8300 ultra t... morehey i think u should get it ive had it since it came out and it hasnt done any thing wrong if i waz u o would get it but if u go to wall mart and u can get a screen protecter like for an i pod touch it helps mine alot

After the initial joy, my N97 has left me devastated after just 3 days of use. My phone all of a sudden is giving too much of pain. Now it is virtually not usable. Whenever I start it, it takes too long to load the UI and identify the network. Then when you try to start Camera or Photos or Videos or Web Browser or File Manager or E mails it says " Memory Full". I have tried my best to make it running again. Retrieved the battery a couple of times, switched off an On the device a million times and deleted my messages, emails and uninstalled opera mini, gmail and google maps.
I have now put this phone back in the Box and will send it back.
I paid Indian Rupees 34,000 for this phone only to be among the first few to have it in my town (Srinagar, Kashmir) but to have it for just 2 days and wait for atleast 15 days to have a replacement or bug fixed Rs. 34,000 is too much. I could have bought this phone for only 30,000 after a month. Now I have been cheated. I still love Nokia and wont turn my coats on them. I hope Nokia will compensate me somehow. I have already bought different phones from Nokia for almost Rs. 3,00,000/- (USD 3,500) since 2004. I should get some benefit for that.
