But last nyt wen im at work i fully charged it before going for duty den i put it in my pocket ,after 4hrs it drained as in dead battery! Got nervous and noticed its warm,so removed d bat and restarted it and charged for 1.3hrs ,now im using it and still observing.

I LOVE MY NEW NOKIA N97! I don't think any previous generation Nokia user will be unhappy with the N97, this phone rocks!
I love the familiarity of the operating system and the UI, For NOKIA USERS it is extremely intuitive to use, AND IT JUST PLAIN WORKS!
The keyboard is excellent and needs very little pressure to press(nice:) the keys are separated so making mistakes is really unlikely. The build quality is some of the best I have seen from Nokia, The phone is quick & responsive, the touchscreen is a breeze to use and has hand writing recognition, which is awesome, and only possible because of the resistive touchscreen, good for business users, just like on the HTC's Touchpro2 a resistive screen aswell, but N97's display is 16million colors & looks really very beautiful!
The reception quality is "A1"! and so is the speakerphone it is loud and crisp, just make sure hands aren't on the speakers located at left side bottom and top, it will be a little quieter if you do, but still audible.
Front screen widgets etc... are awesome, the camera is really good for a 5MP and works very well.
Overall the phone looks really really stylish and expensive!!! which it is! It has that great Nokia feel that has been their trademark, you just feel like using it and playing with it,
IT HAS GOOD FENG SHUI!

sa, 27 Jun 2009it is high time for Nokia to come up with capacitive screen... morewell my friend i saw before an interview with a rep from nokia he said that nokia have made alot of research about the screen type capacitive or resistance touchscreen he said after the research they found that the resistance touchscreen u can use ur nails with it a pen a coin even if u u have water over ur fingers . so it seems nokia will never come with capacitive touchscreen phones.

it is high time for Nokia to come up with capacitive screen phone after two s60v5 touch phones 5800XM/N97
how can the world leading phone maker not make capacitive phone for their customers?
As a chinese, i dont need to use the stylus to write chonese character, capacitive screen is much easier to use than resistive one, more durable,... capacitve n98 please
i notice the flick scroll in iphone is the most smoothest than n97 and G1, well done APPLE in this technology
iphone- you can swipe
n97 - you cant swipe, drag only
should i mention the multitouch?
nokia n97 use zoom bar, ugly right!
Nokia loose market to APPLE because of this,
i admit n97 has decent hardware spec, camera radio and loud speaker, i like it on my phone
overall, n97 is the best so far

I truly agree wit u ... hav been using the phone past 3-4 days .... m experiencing the same things .... ppl still thinking to buy .... stop thinking and actually buy it .... or u can even get a preview of the phone in any Nokia gallery or care center or Priority distributers.

got the phone today ( launch day) totaly amazein phone!!! not seen a phone like, ipod phone is a baby compared to this!

very excellent build quality
look better in the flesh, especially the black one
plastic screen much better than 5800, act like the glass
unlike iphone, it is very light weight, and slim and small to hold it in your hand
some one claimas that the battery can last for two days of heavy use, i charge ipod touch everyday
the bad sides is about the immature symbian touch OS
no flick scroll in menu and list
built-in web browser is not much improved
and other unnnessary hardware spec found in N96 and N95
