Can the N97 ... moreyou can save an unlimited number of text messages and keep them for as long as you want. you can now also group you messages (blackberry style) to view today, yesterday etc with an expandable and collapsable[+] icon. i'll get back to you with voice recording cos at the moment im transferring large amounts of data and i dont wanna interrupt it!

** Pc Software ** if you wanna make your mp3's sound louder on your phone (if you're a bass-head like me)... i just downloaded mp3gain, connected my N97, drag and dropped the music from my n97 using windows explorer and increased the dB (decibels) of all 3000 of my tracks. really good i recommend!!!

and by the way on a different subject... n97 bashing on this forum needs to stop. the phone is available and a lot of people have it. those who have it are totally happy so those who are not buying it need not comment!

I want to buy the N97 but i have one question. Can the N97 hold all text messages for the last 30 days or is it could hold up to only the last 30 texts. What about call record? Can the N97 record the coversation between two people or conference call?

Ok guys, I'm back to show you what a crap the N97 is. Check out the second video from the Engadget's review on the N97 and you will see that the touch UI is a huge disaster, like I said before! But you fanboys are all blind, or you don't want to see the huge mistakes that Nokia have done with this "device"!

A few words from the review: "I leave you with a video "hit list" -- "hit" as in my desire to commit murder after a week with this phone, "list" as in the tilting of a sinking ship."

Not to mention that the guys here at GSM Arena weren't satisfied by the interface either..

                            Hi Guys

Am I right in thinking that the 3G speed for this phone is slower that the new Iphone 3G S? Have never used the internet on a phone before but I will need a very good connection speed over anything else. Would I be better off looking at the Iphone instead?? I

                            Cheers!

There won't be any remakes of the N97 (like the N95), unfortunately. But Nokia will announce the new Symbian Squared OS in September in Nokia World, and some phones that has it equipped. However, if you want a phone NOW, then it's this phone that get the most software support right now...

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2009Man i used the iphone for 2 hours and got bored with it the... more+1 (respect to you man)... I really love very much N97, it's my dream, I will buy it someday, but the problem is the price. But afterall I want to say that Apple Iphone is a big sh**** crap, even the Iphone 3G S is a crap, it has only 3MP and no Carl Zeiss, no HSCSD, no 2nd camera for 3G, no Radio, no Java, NO CARD SLOT, and what so if he has 16GB/32GB, and 256MB RAM, and 600 MHz processor, it is a big crap, Nokia has 32 GB storage and can be upgraded to 48 GB with 16GB microSD memory, and something really good is that the N97 has DUAL LED FLASH, but the Iphone doesn't even have it !!!
And what do I wanna say is that, Please people do not compare that Apple Icrap, becouse, the N97 is MUCH MUCH BETTER than Iphone 3GS or other iphones, and come on dudes, don't think if Icrap has twice RAM and 600MHz CPU, it means that is better than N97... Really say, I even cannot compare the Iphone 3G S with the N97, my mark to them is : Nokia N97 = 10/10 (perfect phone ever), and Iphone 3G S = 4/10 (very skinny phone).... And if someone readed all my comment, plzz wake-up, NOKIA is THE BEST CHOICE FOR THE FUTURE, But Apple Iphone is THE WORST CHOICE EVER !!! xD

RV, 22 Jun 2009I am wondering which phone to go for...NOKIA N97 or 5800XP?... moreThey both have comparable specs (screen size, RAM, processor, etc.) with the exception of storage. The main difference is the hardware keyboard which, in my opinion, is not really much of an advantage. I've always preferred software keyboards simply because they make the device much thinner.

Hardware keyboards make phones thick and bulky, and some people don't even use them as much. For some they are essential, but for me it just depends what you are used to. I could type crazy fast on a 12 button keypad when I had an N75 ;)
