what feature would you wish to have in the next n97 firmaware update?
1, No more Scroll bar
2. flick scroll in widgets, for example, contact list found on 5530XM touch
3. two-three page of homescreen
4. improved web browser
5.virtual qwerty keyboard when the screen is closed
6.Skype coming next update,
7.more smooth flick scrolling, the current one is far behing the one on ipod touch
8.more optimized OS and more free ram.
9.more control over the double tap to zoom!!!!!!
10. multitouch software,- no more zoom bar!!!
11. you suggest it.........

you can see who is online while brosing your nokia contact list, amazing right?

I have read most of the comments (well the sensical ones at least) and stil can't see why I would take the iPhone over the N97. Sure it has a nicer GUI and it might be slightly faster (debatable), but the iphone misses some key features for me:
enough storage space for my music and docs, a front camera for video call and skype, a real qwerty keybord and support for GPS maps other than Google maps (google maps is useless in SA).
So, I guess I will stick to the N97 for now.

Ive gotta say guys i work in a mobile retailer and the N97 is a better phone, for a start you have to compare the N97 price to the 32Gb iphone cause that way the memory is as smilar as possible, and the N97 is around £30p/m CHEAPER here in uk. and yet it is such a nicer phone to look at, plus battery life on the N97 is so much better and i havent informed you that a iphone battery only lasts for 1000 charges then the battery is shot and yu need a new one. its built better and has a nicer keyboard, I seriously think this will be another N95 - where people come in every day saying how good the phone has been and that it hasnt let them down in years.

Eagle, 22 Jun 2009I totally agree with you Iphones are quite boring ones but ... moreMan i used the iphone for 2 hours and got bored with it then i returned it... it is a boring phone, i mean 2 hours and i am bored with it cant believe it... the Nokia 1208 is more interesting than the iphone lol
and y is it that every mobile launched pple compare it with the iphone?? guys wakeup the iphone is nothing but crap with all do respect to apple... i like the MAC os used on the pc yes but the iphone come on guys... + the sound of the iphone is so low...

The New Nokia N97 Is the really built in internet and gaming phone .allthe features are best that we do not expect.totally rocking phone.

Batery and CPU speed ram are fine
loud speakeris loud
nice design
smallsize
just hope that it drop in price fast
