Anonymous, 19 Jun 2009I have an N95 and I'm thinking of buying this phone. Is it ... moreLG Crystal is completly incompatible with N95 apps. If you've a lot of important stuff on your phone, then N97 would be the best pick, as it is the most compatible one. Nokia software is another reason.

Generally, I'd say N97 is better software wise, but Omnia HD is better hardware wise. LG Crystal has a nice design, but nothing more. Satio is still ages away from release. N97 has some sweet spots like the 32GB internal memory and full QWERTY-keypad, but Omnia HD has HD-recording and other stuff as well.

It's a pretty hard choise. If you don't find any clear winner, then you should at least wait until September, when the next wave of phones will be announced, and then we might have a clear winner.

I have an N95 and I'm thinking of buying this phone. Is it worth that change? From what I'm seeing its has the exact same features as the N95 except that its touchscreen and qwerty keyboard. Should I buy this or wait for better ones (Omnia HD, GD900 Crystal, Satio)

iPhone 3G S Launch Sales to Exceed 3G Launch.

Despite the seemingly shorter lines for the iPhone 3G S, the early sales number estimates indicate that the iPhone 3G S launch numbers could even exceed those of the iPhone 3G launch. Apple managed to sell 1 million of the iPhone 3Gs during its launch weekend last year. Unlike last year, however, Apple and AT&T have allowed pre-orders for the latest iPhone device.

UK mobile carrier O2 reveals that by lunchtime, they've already sold more iPhone 3G S handsets than they did during the entire day of the iPhone 3G launch. They expect by the end of the day to have sold 50% more than last year's opening day.

Meanwhile, AppleInsider reveals that AT&T has sold "hundreds of thousands" of iPhone 3G S's ahead of the launch. Based on these numbers, the site also speculates that Apple could easily sell more than a million devices during the first three days.

Oh I forgot, the N97 keyboard seems like soviet made, with big irrational keys layout ( spacebar on the right corner ! ) while the new horizontal
touchscreen on the Iphone works VERY well

It is terrible, the OS is stone age, the device is heavy thick and the touch screen
                      plasticy.
In comparison the Iphone is a gem, the new oleofobic GLASS touch creen stays clean, and the connecting and computing speed is SUPER FAST, like it or not !

Mark, the keys on the N97 are absoluetely massive in comparison to 99% of the phones available. If you're after a phone with even bigger buttons I think you should consider reverting back to a phone manufactured in the 1980s.

I have rather large hands and I use a BlackBerry 8900 Curve which are about 5 times smaller than these and I use it fine.

I have been waiting absolutely ages for the N97 to be released, and I have to say , now I've actually seen one im a little dissappointed. Every review i've ever seen gives the impression that the QWERTY keyboard is quite big and easy to use. Looks to me like ALL the reviews i've seen so far are using magnified images of the actual handset. In real world conditions if you are of those people like me who has big fingers, and you intend to use the qwerty keyboard a lot then im pretty sure theres gonna be a more than a few N97s being thrown against walls after the millionth mistake on those TINY keys. Also noticed the very strange not to mention stupid placement of the space key(not a bar im afraid!!)Theres plenty of room round the edges so why have Nokia made all the keys so damn SMALL. WAKE UP NOKIA WE DONT ALL HAVE TINY HANDS!!! (but if you do you might be ok!!)
