job. But to unlock, you have to slight and hold a bit . This is a well thought out feature to prevent accidentaly switching it on.

It seems one of the lousy phone from nokia. Other then having a big screen, big hard disc and a keypad it has nothing smart in it. It has same old emailing, old style pressure sensitive touch screen, no multi-touch like iphone, inefficient RAM and processor, no improvements in UI, weak camera and no xenon flash, Oh yes.. it has some small tweaks for home screen which they keep showing. But every phone has now customized home screens.
Can anyone tell me what is so great of this phone, the way they have made the hype and marketing around it for a very high price of Rs.35K
Not a value for money in this Iphone age

Umm wow the asking price is 699.99. I'd rather go with the G2 phone that's coming out. I'm a huge Nokia fan and been buying Nokia phone since 2004 (I change my phone every year**bad habit**) but this time I'm gonna switch to HTC. I've been waiting for Nokia to come out with a touch screen phone but now that it's in production, the price is just ridiculous. We'll see if T-Mobile will try to get the Nokia N97. If the price is right, I'll definitely get the phone with a contract extension.

Love the design, glad it has radio and loud speaker
but I hate that the flick scroll in wen browser is not as smooth as iPhone!
And abit slowEr than the iPhones 3g

sad that iPhone 3gs has no radio! And weak speaker and still bluthooth can't grander file!! And no finder and iChat av , these stops me from buying it

wait for n98 or iPhone 2010!

Just got my new Iphone 3GS at Swisscom shop today.
Had a look also at the N97, the Symbian OS looks terrible and is very unfriendly,
feels very thick in your hand.
The 3GS surfs unbelievable fast at 7.2 Gbps on the Swisscom network, the applications open and zip so fast with the 256 Ram.
Surfing on WI FI is also noticeably faster.
Great phone, the camera is also very good and the video al well.
Touch autofocus is VERY handy and works well and fast.
Typing is also improved A LOT with horizontal keyboard and best of all
I got it for only 99 CHF ( 83 $ ) on my existing monthly subscripion which is also an excellent deal.
Thank you Apple and Swisscom for providing such good service and a super fast internet in my pocket !!!

help plz....
i juz bought it a few days ago. when i lock the touchscreen, everthing is fine. when i unlock it, sometimes i unlocks like normal, but sometimes it unlocks like halfway n the phone goes on like time saver mode.. i will have to relock it n reunlock it. is anyone faCing the same problem??
