just bought a black n97. Its beautiful. The keypad is good. I'm trying out the phone bit by bit and putting up what problems I encounter here in the hope that nokia pick it up and rectify quick. firstly, i have problem opening wap pages. It says something like "no gateway". Secondly, is there a window media player for
s60? cos some website requires it to function.

to see UNDER RATED IPHONE SPECS every now and then is beginning to make me sick! don't know why apple boys always come here bashing and so in return we have to repeat stating their boring specs again and again, BOOOHOOOO!! Go back to your retarded forum and save us some useful scrolls.

Anonymous, 13 Jun 2009Here is what professionals are writing about it not blind N... moreGet lost and go back to your dumb iphone with it's same boring design, crummy camera, no flash,no card slot , screen res the same, non removable battery, low volume, 1 mono speaker, can't even transfer a contact onto it's sim card, you tell someone to use a nokia to do that. Oh it gets hairline cracks on the back, never even had video recording for almost 2 years, no voice guidance for the GPS on iphone, only 3.2 meg still. I'm getting carpul tunnel syndrome now.

Which the samsung both are higher spec than my n95 but on performance most nokias do outperform other brands. Being realistic here

n97.. it is really under my expectations..i am nokia user but this phone is really far away from iphone. it is slow and applications look like commodore 64 according to iphone.. i am gonna sell it..

Keyboard:
It’s hilarious that when Nokia finally listens and tries to make a somewhat normal QWERTY keyboard layout (we moaned that the Z key was always incorrectly right under the A key on previous devices) they mess it up even more. Like honestly, you’re expecting people to use something with the spacebar key stage right? If the layout isn’t bad enough, the keys certainly are. While the texture of the keys is actually pretty stirring, there’s absolutely positively the smallest tactile feedback imaginable when pressing in a key. For comparisons sake, the T-Mobile G1, whose keys aren’t the best in that department, is worlds better than the N97’s keyboard. It’s really disappointing because Nokia just can’t seem to nail this keyboard area. You could argue that there’s a virtual on-screen keyboard, but that’s so useless we’re not going to entertain the idea of you bringing it up.
Man… this is a tough area. Some people are going to viciously attack us for saying this, but, is this the best you can do Nokia? If it is, you’re out of touch with the entire cell phone world because this is one of the most disappointing screens we’ve seen in a long, long time. Besides being a poor resistive touchscreen with good resolution — it’s poor because they try and allow it to decipher touch actions separately from select actions — it looks like there’s a weave pattern behind the display. It gets really infuriatingly annoying. We’re assuming it’s the digitizer, but seriously, learn how to make a touch display. This isn’t 2003. Every single flagship phone has a display 10x better than yours. If you want us to break them down because you’re too out of touch to realize it, we’re glad to do so:
Is there anything more important than a screen and a keyboard in a" smart phone " ??????????

tester, 13 Jun 2009n97 screen is much reponsive than 5800, this is good news
... moreS60v3 + Touch = S60v5
Besides that, and screen resolution, there aren't any other bigger differences between the versions.

They were more detailed than the n95 and you can actually compare it to samsung i8510 or sony ericsson c905 (which i have both). You can take and view pics in the full screen view and you have countless options. Video recording just the same. nHD quality really good and does the job. I tested a black one and it looks sexy. I wanted the white one at first but i might go for black now

oh and after using it, my personal opinion is that its made me want to buy it even more than i did before. Very enjoyable to use
