Got the N97 from NYC flagship on the first day of release in US(9th June).
So didn't play around a lot but this is what I have so far.
The phone looks impressive with the sliding keypad.
The qwerty key pad is comfortable. If it is not, them it is just a matter of getting used to it.
No serious issues so far except for the battery life. Drains faster in UMTS mode.So I changed to GSM mode. Still drains faster. I am still observing the battery life based on my usage.

funny how people are commenting this smartphone is a crap because att doesnt carry it like the iphone.
this smartphone surpasses the iphone. just look at the spec. even the n95 and n95 8gb cripple the iphone. oh, also the 5800 bites the iphone.
nokia wants their n-series unlock for the unlimited feature. partnering with att will make the n97's features limited and different because of att specification and features but it will be a great idea for sales...just like the realease of the nokia e71x through att (feature is different from the original e71 therefore the e71x is cheaper). that's the start of the pair up between att and nokia smartphones.
also att smartphones suck..that includes the iphone 2g, 3g, 3g-s.

your 3g is 1.3Mbps XD that's a joke
rogers is 3.6 and the 3.5g is 7.2 were one of the 27 countries that support full 3g and 3.5g service XD
att and tmobile just have better plans

After all the phone companies are subsidizing the little cheap phones from Nokia.They do not subsidize the N97 because is crap.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970If this phone was any good the BIG phone company would offer it along a plan to make money, LOTS of it like AT&T is doing with the Iphone, look at the financials of AT&T and you would undertand providing you have the IQ to understand a financial statement, go to NASDAQ.com and inform yourself before postin you usual S T U P I D comments.

How come TMobile and AT&T do not offer ANY plan for this phone.
You have to pay alot of money and then the subscription as well.
Obviously they both know that people will NOT go for this piece of crap.

anyways, this looks like a very good phone, would have gotten this but am opting to go with the 3GS.
