Glass screen is due to the capacitive touch screen. graphics and fast processor are unnecessary and would consume more power so nokia intended to use these components, because not everyone wants to play games and would prefer longer battery life.

Not everyone is really interested in the camera quality on mobile phones btw. We got far more superior applications and great support from many many developers and that is what makes the iPhone worth the price. Plus if you compare apps or games of the iphone to the ones on nokia, you will realise that for every games on the iphone that sells for 0.99dollars nokia sells them for 10-20dollars and on top of this the games on the iphone are like 5x times better. you dont believe me? read the reviews and pay a visit to youtube.

Beats having to drag around the generator to charge the iPhone. Not a toy this N97, but the culmination of serious tech for robust dependable usage. i'd say this device could outlive any HTC and has already out engineered the iPhone. Well done Nokia!

mickis, 25 May 2009Whats so special with I-phone? Say something that is better... morein comparison to many nokia phones including the N97 and many other models, the iphone has a much better build quality. In my opinion that is a very important feature that is why alot of people struggle so much in trying different methods to protect their phones. The UI of the Apple iPhone OS is still unmatched in my opinion, it has multi touch capabilities which is awsome combined with applications and games and plus the screen is made from glass which gives it a beautiful display and much more resistance to scracthes. The graphics capabilities and the processor itself is way better than the old Arm11 in the N97.

I've looked at this phone compared to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. In a nutshell, the Xperia X1 and the N97 are very similar devices. In core specs, the Xperia has more ram and a faster CPU, with both phones sharing most of their features. I urge you to do a comparison of these two mobiles, as you'll no doubt see how similar they are.

I think, the Xperia is a better phone, though i haven't used an N97 yet, i am quite certain that it OS isn't too dissimilar from a 5800 xperience. From photos, Idon't like the look of the QWERTY keyboard.

They are straight copies of the LG webslider or the Sharp HipTop...

                              ...how about that.

When will Nokia produce something original?
