Go to maemo.org to look up the community. The N900 is pretty much the N97, but with a TI OMAP 3430 chip w/3D accel, and open source os.

This phone is FANTASTIC! If you look at all the features and the specs of this phone is just like holding 3 device in 1 (Phone, Camera & laptop) but I have a BIG one curious question about the sliding mechanism design... THAT particular design, in my opinion is SUCKS!!! T-t-that flex cable!haha with all the sliding and typing i dont think its going to last long... It's like N95, N96 & N81 sliding mechanism problem if I recall... Go to Youtube and search these phone and it will show you what most people complaining about sliding phones...

I said nothing that 3.2 is so much better then 2 meg, but they all probably have auto focus unlike the crummy iphone cam with no af.

Whether it was nokia,,lg,,samsung,,toshiba,,htc,,sharp,,moto,,if a mobile was released by any other firm like the i-phone it would be laughed at BUT because it apple it fantastic now thats sheep for you..The above statements are wholly true because its apple they buy it even if it was wind up with 1 inch monochrome screen and 416kb max memory..

hey guys..can anybody tell me about n 97 screen..coz i used 5800..n dat was realy a bad experience..u have to push hard twice to open something..if n 97 is giving a touchscreen like iphone..den i ll go for it...thx..

With such small resolution, how can you both have a virtual QWERTY-pad and other content on the screen at the same time? Oh wait, I forgot multi-tasking wasn't allowed on the Iphone!
Sorry dude, but you can't compare the Iphone in terms of tech with other phones, and still believe that it's superior. The only way it's better, is that u'll have to burn more money on it, so ur money won't be wasted on other stuff.
With all the $$$ Apple earned from the significantly overpriced Ipod's/Iphone's, they should at least sell the hardware at non-existing profit, if not a small loss, since they'll get it back with their software restrictions anyway. Yet they price it $300 more than it actually costs to produce, ship and sell all combined. And people still buy it! Amazing, really!

this is an underpowered phone. cpu speed and graphic accelerator is important because technology is going there.the mobile world is going there, and if your phone lacks that then you will be outcast, outplayed and outperformed by upcoming phones.
how can a 5mp camera, 32gb memory with full qwerty keyboard be enough to beat other powered phones?! because you can do more with a faster and powered phone.
