I've seen the pics on the n97 on you tube. They looked amazing. Of course with it's 5 meg cam with auto focus and flash and better screen res then the iphone with it's crummy 2 meg cam no auto focus no flash.

The N97 lacks basic features like hot SIM swapping and component video out like the iPhone has.
According to Mizuchini you can't do 3D on Symbian S60 v5 without it slowing down and crashing, even with more ram and a faster processor like the Samsung Omnia HD.

Of course you can convert and play dvd's and music cd on nokia i do it all the time. In fact i'm watching transformers right now on my n95. The advantage is that i don't have to convert my music to mp3 cos nokia also plays wma! Cant convert and play movies. Come on now i'm being serious. Iphone users - you don't have any new technology. Your phone lacks basic features. VERY BASIC!

Atlast everyphone copany is realising that only HTC designs will be successful and i dont know the designs of nokia are getting like Sony Ericsson where as there mechanics resembles a lot like HTC phones then why not buy HTC mobiles.

Get your facts straight before posting.
Why is everyone either pro Apple or pro Nokia or anti this or that?
Thats completely not true. My N95 plays normal avi files without converting it 700MB movies work fine! The iphone is cool but it lacks way too many features to compare it with nokia flagship phones. Though nokia phone aren't that well designed.
The n97 looks like it bridges the gap.
If apple comes out with an iphone that has a gps, a good camera, hsdpa and some sort of memory card expansion then I'll be interested in that too. But until then, the N97 looks like the all rounder we've been waiting for.

It doesn't hang and crash with 3D like Symbian S60 v5 either, thanks to Mizoki for pointing this out.

CHILE BOY, 21 May 2009its awsome better than iphone to my personal opinion hope c... moreIt can't do 3D games, some guy said before that S60 v5 hangs and crashes when you try to do 3D, mibichi or something like that.
You can probably play suduko or simple 2D games like that, with S60 v5 but it's no good for 3D apparently it causes real problems even with more RAM and a faster processor.
According to some other guy you can't install things either.
I guess Symbian is dead.

I love Nokia. It is the best brand.
However, they are unable to make a "perfect" phone. There is always SOMETHING wrong!
N95 and N96: everything is perfect, but Battery is BAD
N95 8gb: Memory 8gb is built-in and cannot be expanded therefore you lose your data when upgrading firmware + Camera has no cover.
N85: Now the battery is good but sound is BAD and small screen
N86 8Mp: Noone knows yet, but again the screen is small!!!
N97: ??? Let's see how reliable this one is.

i'll stick with Nokia the most trusted brand in the world :D 5800 and N97 up :D
