Why on God's earth would anyone even want to SETTLE for an iPhone?
It's trash quite frankly.
No bluetooth music streaming and/or file transfers (video is out of the question)
No drag and drop file juggling
No Flash support inside Safari (where the heck is Opera Mobile for this thing)
No Java
No copy and paste
No front camera
No video recording
No video calls
No user replaceable battery
No radio
No VGA resolution
No IR port (it's something I take for granted, using my phone as a remote for well...anything just about)
No physical keyboard
No external storage card support (Micro SDHC cards are up to 32 GB now, 8GB is NOT enough these days, especially for a media device)
No voice command (WM devices and even some "el-cheapo" phones have featured this for years now)
No MMS (it doesn't have phone-to-phone MMS, it has phone-to-air-to-phone picture sharing necessitating a data plan)
No Live TV (that doesnt require you to be connected to an app like Orb on your home PC, which defeats the purpose, why would I want to watch it on a dinky non VGA screen instead of just on my home PC when im at home anyways)
No camera flash
No camera zoom
Same old, subpar, 2 MP camera for that matter
No multitasking
Limited video format support
Limited picture format support
Limited file format support in general
Only 128 MB of RAM (cant run many apps simultaneously, new WM phones are getting 256+ MB of RAM, with 220+ MB free on bootup, and with the Appstore opening up and 3rd party apps making their way to the phone, Apple is behind on the times)

Is it released? Can't wait to buy this phone...still stucked with my oldie and reliable p990i...5800 is another choice but i'll just wait for this precious N97. look new and cool!

Mizuchi, 22 May 2009Don't make me laugh man WebOS is a shire copy of OSX mobile... moreDude, WebOS is plain html + css + javascript, what's there to copy?? Anyone can create that layout, even me. Plus, it's going to be way easier to create anything with just html+css+javascript and get pretty nice things, unlike s60 and their poorly java ported software/apps. We all have to admit that s60 is plain outdated, for which symbian^2 will have to take over, and also nokia will have to stop making phones; their designers plainly suck, and the materials used to make them are not adequate enough.

I looks like it ... moreyeah, only m0r0ns uses QWERTY with one hand, of course you have to use booth but how about a single hand text input, N97 has this option also with touch T9, QWERTY close of course, N97 fits the hand perfectly because its just as wide as 5800 and I bought one for my brother 3 months ago.
iPhone? ahh wide and wide, very uncomfortable to use with one hand..

Web OS looks nice and is smooth but palm doesn't know how to sell it's product like always ans they are too small

Mizuchi, 22 May 2009Samsung only has problems with s60 nokia obviously has no ... moreObviously if the Samsung Omnia HD has problems with 3D it must be a flaw with Symbian, obviously it's not adaptable enough to be worth considering as a viable OS in future, it's age is showing.
Android and iPhone OS and to a lesser extent WebOS are the future, Symbian is dead.

the first was the inonvate
and it was troublemome
and the N97 had a build in graphics chip that is really good sno no need for the 3D accelorator if the onbord graphics chips is good

I've seen the pics on the n97 on you tube. They looked amazing. Of course with it's 5 meg cam with auto focus and flash and better screen res then the iphone with it's crummy 2 meg cam no auto focus no flash.
