Will the n97 succeed in this years line up of palm pres,,android and high end windows..I hope so being a symbian fan but if the price is too high and its slow and buggy then it could be a flop,,i know all the arguments about proccessors and that most forums agree that the 369 MHz is fast enuf for symbian but obviously it isnt or it needs an update to stop crashing so much when you do a few things ...If these fones cant handle multi tasking then put it on box and say that opening more than 2 apps could cause the device to fail,,this for windows,,apple,,B/B and palm as well......

idc about games on my mobile. no matter what u say or how hard u try they will never be as good as real games like the ones on the Nindendo DS or PSP. i'm not comparing with PS3 or xbox cuz they are not portable.
iphone games is just a waste of time and money symbian ones too.
iphone has tousend of junk app that are waste of time.
all i need on my mobile is a good GPS program which the Iphone lacks(google maps sux and u need an intrnt connction for it G3 works but still why pay for using gps?). symbian and winmo have many good GPS programsn like route66 or garmin. yet i like symbian over winmo and thats my opinion. why would i take something like the iphone that doesn't meet my needs just cuz the advertising that make people think oh he has an iphone. u can't even send ur files through bluetooth....

lalo, 08 May 2009ummmm, yea, and that's why apple has the leading developers... moreApple has hired two of the top people from ATI, bought a fabless chip manufacturing company, bought companies involved in graphics chip and software design and we already know what they are capable of with software.

Expect to see improvements in graphics hardware over the next few years which no-one can copy because it will all be in house, not dependent on other companies woo can leak their designs, such as the Chinese Nokla N97 which you can already buy. N O K L A rules!

Mizuchi, 08 May 2009You keep forgetting linux doen't nee d that much ram it jus... morewow, you apparently don't know that s60 lags as soon as you turn it on, and that's even without adding any theme on it. as soon as you press that multimedia button it lags. i know this is going to hurt me say it, but, even osx mobile is a proof of a gui with graphics and doesn't lag, it crashes, but then again what mobile os doesn't crash?!

You forgot Palm WebOS they based the whole operating system on WebKit.

and symbian is
ubuntu/knoppix linux based KDE form no special graphical transitions to lag the systems OS and doesn't harm the processing speed

go watch some vids of
linux on youtube and you'll see what i mean by more graphics + more lag in the UI

More on Opera Mini, it also gives you an IP in Norway as everything you browse is processed via Opera's servers, when I used to use it there was no real difference between 2.5G and 3.5G speed, I think that was caused by the slight lag of the servers in Norway.

I used it for years on lots of phones.

Mizuchi, 08 May 2009Dude look how slow vista is cause iit has too much garbage ... moreummm, just remember that s60 is still underneath touchwiz. once you get to the os, it is still s60v5 no matter what. who even has windows vista?? i have xp and made it look like windows 7 ( i actually research about stuff before i do anything). just because nokia is the primary user of the symbian os doesn't mean that they know what they are doing with it. you can have a computer with 12GB of RAM, but windows xp 32 bit in it, useless, right?! same with nokia. they use symbian as their os, but use crappy hardware, limiting what the symbian os can do.
