Excellent. I have used the N97 for 2 years now, since they were launched. I was one of the first to get as high use Vodafone account. Initially I went thru' 3 phones in 2 weeks, though, with nightmare software problems. But once Nokia got all that sorted I have had happy use since. I honestly have. I wish they still did new ones, but have taken an E7 now that has loads teething problems that will need the phone exchanging. Don't Nokia ever learn? But the N97 is a very good phone - just make sure the software is up to date. I wish mine wasn't worn out!

                          [deleted post]Advantages:
                          32gb internal hard drive
                          Qwerty keyboard
                          Decent camera with lens cover
                          FM transmitter
GPS with free voice guided satnav software
Decent battery life (nearly 4 days if using battery saving software
Very cheap to buy second hand or new as there two years old
Software issues have been mostly ironed out

                          Disadvantages:
Not the most fluid of touch operating systems
Annoying double tap feature on some menus
Phone is quite thick and heavy
Ovi store has mostly useless applications

Anonymous, 04 May 2011You comparing a recent flagship of sony ericsson to old mod... moreLOL don't make me laugh. First of all you shouldn't compare X10 to X6 but to N900 or N8 and still they are dead beaten. No way! Not a chance.
I have both a N97 and an old K810i, it is not a smart phone but it has far better battery, much better signal, better sound and music play, much more stable (never restarts, crashes or hangs) and even the camera is better to use if with lower resolution. For all that and because my N97 is always breaking down I always use my much older SE so, even older SE phones of a lower level can easily beat a Nokia N97 in day to day use. It is not even a fair competition for those poor nokia phones.

Never had a phone more prune to break down than this one. It breaks almost every month. simply unbelievable.

My N97 dies from time to time and then restarts by itself. This is very annoying when you are busy.
