I Just update my N97 software yesterday at one of Nokia Centre in OneUtama but today my N97 cannot on... what is the problem...change battery also same problem..i still cannot switch on my N97...:-(

I love this phone no matter what. This is my first touch screen phone I got. I know a lot of you saying that this phone is crap. It is all depends how you guys use your phone, what kind of phone you have, and what specifically do you look for the phone.
1st of all, I like this phone bacause of 32gb of internal. I don't have to buy any more mini micro sd, or i can put 16gb that will be a total of 48gb. Some phones doesn't come in 32gb internal.
2nd, I can choose keyboard, or touch screen what ever I like. On touch screen, I have four choices, I can choose either mini querty keyboard, full screen keyboard, Alphanumeric keypad, or Hand writing.
3rd, I can do video call by using FRING as well as my N95 that came out 2007. I know some of the phone still only got one camera, sooner or later all phone will be 2 cameras. I know in overseas, they been using video call before Iphone 4g and Mytouch 4g came out.
Overall, the good thing about this phone is most apps that I need comes with it already. I don't have to pay my apps and its free on OVI Store and some other third party like Mobile9 apps, GetJar apps, etc.
If you have a problem with your phone, you should know how to trouble shoot your self, just do trail and error and do some research. BE PATIENT, PATIENT IS A VIRTUE. I know that this phone need to stop some applications in order to work well some other apps. sometimes but not all the time, so it will not crash or freeze. That is normal coz other phones is like that too. Do not under estimate the Nokia according on what your heard and read about it.

insert your battery only and switch on your phone
its will starts as usual...hopefully
then insert the memory card .... find out any application that not suitable ... then delete them

IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Formatting the device will permanently erase all user data and settings as well as add-on applications and operator specific settings.
If you have made a backup of the device data, the data can be restored from the backup after formatting but some add-on applications can have restrictions that they are not restored from the backup.
If you use formatting to repair faulty behaviour of the device, restoring the backed-up data files may restore the unwanted behaviour as well. In that case, a partial restore may resolve the situation.
The contents of the SIM card and memory card (MMC) are not erased during formatting.

nokia n97 really sucks, i bought one 3 months ago and it freezed. sometimes it restarted. one day it froze to me so bad that i reastart it. i waited for a couple of minutes but NODA then i took it 2 a nokia service .. .
after 1 week the said to me the os HAD SOME probkems and they changed .. but can u believe what happened next ...
i went back home to try nokia software updater but a message displayed to me , telling me that my OS for my product code was'nt approbated.... They had put the wrong OS for my n97 and when i try to write messages i press Y for writting Z anda lor of other errors keep displaying on my N97 ... i took it to a service and they told me that it was impossible to find the right firnware for my phone,,, andnow i have the wrong one Please can anyone help me by telling me how to install the firmware that i want for my N97????

my n97 has network problem. the network goes and comes and the bluetooth does not switch on and the phone switches on automatically by itself am tired of all these problems. someone pls help me on how to fix it.

it's not a flop, it's still selling. i have mine for one year and one month. it is made in finlad, color black and i'm still using it. it is really depend on how you use the phone. if u know how to use it then you will ultimately meet your expectations. it's worth buying.

N-Gage is gone. Nokia decommissioned it in Dec 2010. Games now will have to come from a reliable website, or the Ovi store.

i have 6 membecors in my family all of them r using nokia phones oly ll suggest my friend too get nokia oly bcoz nokia is the trusted phone better than other mobiles i belive nokia
