my brother bought a new n97. for 3 days there was a problem. the phone freeze, and sometimes restart though the memory still 80% full. he took it to nokia service center & wait for 1 month. then still the problem not solved. then when back repaired. after 1 month still the same. the nokia center then changed all the machine, all new accept the casing. but the problem cannot be fixed till now. he went to another nokia center but nothing change, the phone still somethime freeze and then restart. what a junk phone nokia is. no responsibility of the indonesia nokia center. 2 thumbs down for nokia. i will never trust the nokia's quality, never!

N97 or any nokia symbian phone suitable just for symbian fans. if u donno how to use it or trouble shoot it, dont buy it. just go another OS. For me, symbian OS is no. 1. i love my n97. peace...

Great for a year. Now after a year it refuses to charge and has decreased so much in value no point in even selling it hate it with a passion. Also so slow and i have more than 25 gb of memory left.

After having this phone for a year and a half i have decided that it isn't all that it was cracked up to be. To be honest the phone reveals a lot of issues with the user interface and the main system. With both the N97 and the N97mini in my house hold, we have experienced the same issues on both phones. The screen will either freeze or decide to not turn on what so ever, this has been occurring more consistently over time as I have been using the phone, and seeings that I know how to use the phone, I own an iPod and everything, I don't have apps in the background (especially the music app) constantly clogging up my phones memory. The phone itself has a sturdy build as there has been no aesthetic damage to the outside and the screen doesn't scratch. It maintains its battery fairly well even when I browse the web. I am considering upgrading to an N8 because these flaws in the S60v5 OS have really started to get more and more consistent.
On another note, I think it would be better for everyone if complete english was used just for the ease and convenience of reading for others "who cnt undastnd wot ur tryn 2 say"

amazing cell its super cool cell from nokia.n97 haters its ur bad luck u have faulty one but my n97 great.and my friends r also using n97.in our friend circle have 3 n97 and its cool no hang no restart just update ur cell and used it properly.im in karachi pakistan and mine is too cool.just use taskman and netquin to close unwanted applications and feel the difference.
nokia plz release new firmvare for n97.
