Le... moreSamsung's, Blackberries and LG's come with built in DIVX support, Nokia's don't they are too cheap to pay the licencing, they use cheaper lower priced CPU's then they charge more for the phones.
That's the reason they don't have HD, 120fps slow motion, 8 megapixel cameras etc a second class phone at a first class price.
Boring old phone, outclassed before it's even released that's what you get for hyping up a phone for 7 months before release.
Keep the CPU secret because it's outdone by the competitors.
I wonder how Nokia will make people use the OVI store because everything they will sell is free somewhere else.
it's a good thing Nokia has so many mindless fanbois who will buy it like sheep and will say nothing but how good it is even when they are asking for help to solve problems just like the 5800.

you have to us itunes with EVERYTHING
you can't write when it's cold
the phone has garbage speakers
my 5 year old E70 has louder speakers and it's only mono XD that's ONE speaker
all those features that are gonna be on the iphone was a beta were is the real update and why the hell would you make a beta update for a mobile phone OS....
and the fact the the update doesn't even have full support of the older phone WHO PAYS FOR UPDATES
it's the only company that sells updates
the update is an upgrade to the OS that fixes bugs,glitches and adds content and makes improvments to the OS
you've been another victom of iphone and apple stupidity
enjoy paying for usless apps and FREE updates XD

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2009It doesn't mean better CPU, it's better UI, all it depends ... morepeople who does not own an iphone never really knew what it gives you. i use nokia my entire life since my 6210 year 2000 to n95 as my last, and im happy getting an iphone for a change. i dont pay what i need, there is 1000 free useful application to download. and every payable applications that gets old becomes free. and 3.0 software update will be free. and one thing i learned, apple gives his customers software update to add features and improve phone features. unlike nokia that gives software update to fix bugs and errors. in short, apple's software is better, no need fixing errors, thats what iphone user's one of the many big advantages over other mobile phone users.

Well all i can say is, after working for Tmobile for 6 years in the US and Now for Swisscom for 2 years, i am a cellphone junky... and with this phone i think i just found my drug...
Finally a phone i will keep for a year...
But again, we don't know the future...

It's not the cpu nor the gui it's al about the camera. Incredible this camera. I will sell my Canon 5D for this camera!

And there will be soon a super high-end phone, will have 1GHZ Snapdragon CPU, 12 MP camera, 64 GB internal memory!!! I am not a Nokia fan, but I like the N97 very much, and these infos are TRUE!!!

Let's take one old nokia with very low CPU, the nokia 6600 it's just 106.MHz, but it can do better more than 10 things the iphone 500MHz cant do at all even with new v3.0 is announced it will come sune but don't exist jet, it can record video, send and receive MMS, you can watch DivX and XviD movies in it, you can use as hi-speed modem, surf free, share wot ewer you are pleased to do..., but why iphone high CPU can't do this thing's at all..., it's because iphone it sucks a big time....!

If we go back to aple GUI, it's gliding and flipping around in front screen made easily cheat people thinking (oh it's flooding GUI and I can cook any soup in it) but not, it's functionality sucks, all social share activities are non functional and no option for it, and any move it costs you $$$ a lot using iTunes!
But nokia is green, and is not in to this kind of crimi-activities, that aple does cheat on it's costumers hopping someday is gon to be miracle solving it's jaibrackings and functionality is missing, but they have dun it with purpose so they don't share, than they have to bay it in iTunes everything they need...!

Also adding those things would also bump up the price a heck load and in these economic times, no one would bother buying it.

This is a lower powered chip you can tell by the restriction to 5 megapixels and VGA video as I explained months ago.

"symbian system is not CPU power hunger" i know, but still better cpu = better ui. just like in omniahd and idou.. they are symbian but there cpu was 600Mhz

And that chip is "nVidia TERRA" graphic chip, and the CPU is 369Mhz, because nokia symbian system is not CPU power hunger, like the winmo or aple sucks even 1000MHz is not enough for video displayng!!!
Symbian 60v5 rocks is the best!

The N97 actually contains a T.I Chipset. At this moment, it is unknown what model, but it is most likely to be an OMAP3, the same as the Samsung Omnia HD.

You'll find INTERNAL pictures of the N97 in that link, taken during an FCC approval. You can clearly see a chip, just above halfway on the right, that bares the T.I emblem.
An outside source stated that Nokia are currently testing with two different chipsets, both of them T.I chipsets.

i think n97 looks great, i wont one as i would never of dreamed of a phone that has 32gigs of memory i so gotta get one next week. im also wondering how much is this phone in australia???
