TORNADO, 03 Oct 2010pls let someone tell me how to hard reset by pressing some ... morewell... this is a HARD RESET so all settings, files, apps, folders etc etc on the phone memory WILL be deleted.
so with the phone off.. hold the 'shift','space' and 'backspace' buttons. Then turn the phone on, you can let go of the buttons once the white screen comes on.

pon, 04 Oct 2010i want to transfer my pictures to my memmory card but i don... moreAs for getting the latest firmware just simply download and install Nokia PC Suite to your computer, then download the Nokia Software Updater (NSU), follow all instructions and update PC Suite if necessary, connect phone to Computer using USB cable, choose PC Suite mode from phone, double click on NSU from PC Suite, follow all instructions and voilla, you should b on your way to a new firmware in minutes :-). Hope that helps.

TORNADO, 03 Oct 2010pls let someone tell me how to hard reset by pressing some ... moreTo do a hard reset by using just the keypad, hold SHIFT (the key left of Z) + SPACE BAR + ENTER KEY + BACKSPACE + POWER BUTTON. The phone can be in the OFF or ON state at the time when u do this, it doesn't really matter. Make sure to also hold the POWER BUTTON last as this will prevent u from messing everything up. That will definitely do the trick. It can get a little tricky to hold those keys all at once so ask for help if necessary. Good luck!

such a damn phone... i havent used such a stpid fone in ma life.... the software is not good for a phone with 128 mb ram....... it's like using vista in a PC with us 128 MB RAM...... i recomend u people not to buy it.....

I like all the form factors of this fone but keep nothing except very low KB theme/message tone on C-DISK and just one of each..Get latest firmware and run low ram apps in background but not many..

Their is nothing wrong with battery and your fed up with it lasting 4 days are you real..Dont get yourself any other smartfone you dont deserve it and how shocked are you going to be when your lucky to get 1 day out of it..For goodness sake get yourself a simple fone because you will get a heart attack if you buy a smartfone in 2010,1 days use is a luxury.
Dont get this fone for 32GB memory its rubbish and only good for about 10GB after that its touch and go if your library will refresh on mp3.Always use the memory card..

I read on some other blog that some peoples negative opinions were being deleted. The n97 has been available for some time now, and people are STILL complaining about the same short comings. Nokia did release a one time phone memory fix that kind of cleaned some of the junk, but it was only about 10mb and it filled up again quickly. Nokia should have made a free dedicated file cleaner, and stopped putting useless apps on handsets that people are not likely to use. My n97 cost me £300 second hand and i was very disappointed with it! The phone memory needed flashing after just ONE WEEK! It's made me very wary of buying another nokia, as they seemed to have displayed an extraordinary amount of arrogance when it came to designing the n96 and n97. I mean why on earth make "so called" smart phones with next to no ram? I wonder if either of these handsets were thoroughly tested app and memory wise before being marketed. They seemed so good when they were being advertised.
