here are some tips to avoid fast draining the battery:

                  1. Set the network to GSM instead of Dual or UMTS if you are using the n97 mini for basic phone operations. 3G signal eats more battery power compared to the lower bandwidth.

                  2. Remove active widgets from your homescreen. Devote a certain time of the day to check your web notifications.

                  3. Update your software to the latest version.

                  4. Find time to read your User Guide. There's a topic there on how to save battery power on your device.

                  5. Purchase a spare battery. A china-made cost me Php300 ($7.00) and it performs like the genuine one. See to it to "calibrate" your new batteries always.

As far as the cost is concerned its not worth the money paid, the first issue is the battery problem and also the operating system is slow specially when you are opening the photos folder. I have been using this phone for the last 3 months.

It seems like people have nothing other than battery to disscuss about this phone here. I am myself using this phone for the last six months and must say battery gives me two days of backup with regular use.

If u live in an area where u get low signal from ur gsm operator, battery gonna drain faster while using internet or calling. Having said that I don't mean to say it's the only reason but surely one of them which we don't see people realizing about.

As far as n97 mini as a phone is concerned, its touch is good for a resistive one so can't compare or expect it be like an i-phone which uses capacitive technology.

The only genuine problem i found with this phone is it's poor sunlight legibility. Infact I have even banged my head thrice against the trees while strolling in the park while trying to read my mails message on my n97 mini. Thanx god i didn't tried that on a busy road.
