dont know guys why u have problems with the battery backup i m using this phone from last 8 months i have no issue with the battery backup
my daily usage
minimum 3 hours talking in 2g service
manually update mail inbox 4-5 times in a day
listening to songs 30 mins in a day on headset
20 mins in videos
battery backup is ok after these uses there are always 3 bars of battery after a day

ii, 20 Dec 2010how can i save the bat. life... it only lasts for 6 hours....to save battery close down the applications which is not in used, select gsm if 3g not in used, select display light above the one point of minimum.........

i have no issue with the battery backup but i also noticed a sound from display when display light is on

today i found out that the sound is coming from my phones display, and that there's nothing that we can do about it... I feel like i have wasted my money on this phone
GUYS DON'T BUY IT !!!
Ive used it and still using it and its a good phone except for its battery and its noisy Display which gives you a headaches !!

niki harsh, 18 Dec 2010I bought this phone one week ago after reading all of your ... moreyesterday i did not use my n97mini to surf, batt lasted 18hr (calling and texting) today i'm currently using it to reply to you. 5hrs into surfing, i had to charge. batt is the only prob.
no strange noise when i transfer using 3g. better have yours checked.

I bought this phone one week ago after reading all of your comments on GSMarena!! I'm happy to say that the phone is looking great and it feels awesome in my hand. The camera quality isn't that good when using indoors there's lot of noise in the pictures but the pics i took outdoors are great!! well you cant expect more from a 5mp camera!! The battery life sux have to charge the phone two times a day and i get a strange noise from the back of my N97 mini when its transferring data in a 3G network. other than that the phone is good, sound quality is awesome, and the touch sensitivity is also good. didn't restarted or didn't had any lags since the day i bought it.. the only problem is the BATTERY!!!
did any one else noticed that noise coming from the phone when its transferring data in a 3g network?
and how is the battery life for you gyz?

Nokia N97 mini have poor battery lifespan... i just both it for almost a week and replace it since the battery were out for 4-5 hours when using GPRS.. But some user of this fon have good battery back up... but still dont just try your luck.. though u love the style of the fon you will not be able to enjoy your daily use of it coz you will be recharging it almost 2-3 times a day...

i bought n97 mini every1 told me nt to buy this ..but d luks r awesome dats y i bought..
i will bettr suggest you please please not to buy it
it really suks ...
it hangs 20 times a day.

ya its battery life is less than a day,
it is quite slow, outdated,
it hangs and restarts very much
also touch is quite hard.
But n900 does not support java or midp and has few applications so nt good also maemo has som prob thats y nokia abandoned it.
and n8 does not have qwerty
necessary for smartphone
wishing nokia may upgrade n97 mini firmware from symbian 1 to symbian 3
plz its annoying to use symbian 1.
Hope E7 and N9 are good
sony lg htc r nt good coz android applications r nt dat practical and they r nt rough and tough than nokia.
I literally washed and banged my mini bt its still ok nokia should address its software problems please.

Hello,i want a suggestion.I am confused about buying among E71 and N97 mini..i read many opinions that N97 mini battery outcome is bad,but i really love this phone.The only reason i cant proceed to get it is the battery outcome and the battery outcome is really important for me.I love E71 for the only reason that it have a good battery outcome and other features too.Please suggest me with advantages and disadvantages for which one will i go.Thank you.

N97 Mini User, 13 Dec 2010this phone is quite a lag.. when u upload any files from pc... morenever encountered a problem when copying songs to and fro with my laptops or desktops, connect it through PC Suite helps
i also make sure that i copy mp3 songs to the Sound Files folder and not the Music folder

this phone is quite a lag.. when u upload any files from pc to this phone,it takes around 20-25 minutes to viewing from the phone..
when ur smsing, or watch a video suddenly theres a call it might make the phone quite lag..
dont be suprise when u put in and out songs from this phone,it might go error unless u download third party music player or just reformat it.. X____X
BUT, the features inside are worth it.. video playback at 640x360 always in great viewing, sounds speaker and earphone jack really sounds great.. colors of display such a vivid even though its not amoled.. camera at 5mp doest dissapoint.. give u the best image for a 5mp pictures

installed JoikuSpot on my N97 mini, now I can use my phone as a wifi router and connect my Acer laptop to the internet
faster speed compared to Ovi or PC Suite methods of internet connection
