[deleted post]It's a great phone. I really love it. BUT the battery life is rubbish and I had trouble finding a spare battery (in South Africa, so check your region). If you do get this phone, make sure you have a portable charger. I would charge my phone at night, make 1 or 2 phone calls, use facebook and twitter, and by 4pm the battery would be dead.
That said, even though I've killed my N97mini with water damage, I'm looking to buy the same phone again. I love it that much.

Anonymous, 21 Sep 2010Kindly share how you were able to install isms app in your ... moreso far, for the free version, which the last one is v1.03 (i think v1.02 is better), you need to sign the application first. to sign the app, you need to do certain things.
1. download the freesigner application. you can google it.
2. you need to get the certificate and key files. how to get it? you can google the keyword OPDA and you will find the site right away.
3. when you get those 3 files, now you can sign the free-isms application and install into your phone without anymore problem.
but if you are willing to pay some money (USD12 to be exact), you can get the latest version, iSMS v1.09 which has a lot more nice features compared to its predecessors including receiving MMS.

So please help me where to find a sis file that do not ask for certificates whatever. Thanks!

on the other topic, I've installed 3 apps into my mini namely, swype, nokia notifications and free-isms. These 3 apps combined are giving me new exciting experience dealing with messaging in nokia n97 mini. great apps.

luke, 20 Sep 2010when typing a message or service command, normally when you... morethanks. got it. i just went to nokia beta labs website and i learned how to activate it. after installing the swype application, writing a txt message was still on the alphanumeric keypad format, its just that there is an added option for "mini QWERTY keyboard."
looks really cool on landscape though on portrait it looks very small and narrow.
A downside of this application is i can only use the english language, it cant recognize my own language.
another downside is that it really doesnt suit well on a resistive touchscreen phone like on my n97 mini. it works great on my brother's X6 because of it's capacitive screen.

I use to have a sony ericsson k800i, after that a nokia 6210 navigater. I now have a n97mini which is the worst phone i ever had.

ice, 20 Sep 2010i already installed the swype settings, how do i activate/ ... morewhen typing a message or service command, normally when you press the screen, normal touch keyboard button appear. after swype is installed (and phone restarted) the touch qwerty keyboard will appear.

Hi Guys!
Can any one plz tell me the solution for this: Screen of my N97mini sometimes got white and the home screen re-start after Nokia sign automatically. Apart from that it is having no other problem and the best in market in terms of features.
