m from kolkata.i bought the fabulous samsung wave last august but now i want to switch over to either nokia n8 or samsung galaxy s.so anyone frm kolkata want to buy it with 4gb + 2 gb memory card and avatar nd titanic hd movie n 325 other new songs with bill n other accesories n downloaded games please contact me.rs 14000 fixed price.pls no bergaining.

I got mine just over a month ago, and like you guys I use it for everything and enjoy it immensely. I regularly explore Ovi Store, Nokia Beta Labs, Ovi Blog, etc., to get more apps and advice to get the most out of my mini. And even with these newly announced S^3 phones (which BTW, have no autofocus??), I'm sticking with my phone.

The latest firm... moreyour opinion is the first honest opinion i have ever read in here and i agree with what you have said a hundred percent. I have been following this site since buying my n97 mini nine months ago. I subscribe to a prepaid packet mobile data plan. I regularly access my facebook account, check emails, read the news, update my wordpress blog, and read the latest post on this site, all of these through my n97 mini gprs/edge internet connectivity.if there's an available wifi, internet access through this phone is really amazing.i am currently using the newly installed swype app and i'm enjoying this new experience, a new awesome way to input english text using a virtual touch keypad.

I've had my N97 mini now for over 6 months. The latest firmware is the best and very stable. I'm amazed at how many people criticise this phone. The battery is on par with any other phone - my wifes iphone needs so much more charging and I know HTC's aren't that good on battery either. The slowness issues are mostly caused by dodgy applications - I now have a list applications i won't install because they cause slowness - some apps are the cause of application menu opening slowly - I now put these apps in their own folders.
My N97 is rock solid realiable. You try and find a phone that does so much so well. i.e. Good portable camera, very good mp3 player, completely free gps navigation with voice, GPS maps saved on the phone, good range of applications, very reliable call functions, flawless wifi functionality, a good touch screen (in my opinion), love the qwerty keyboard.
To all those who bag this phone out i suggest you don't fully know how to use it. If you really compared it to other phones and learned how to use it properly you'd soon see how good it really is.

i hav recently bought dis..aftr using 2months i think its d best set of nokia n-series.. its very comfortable n lighter dan big n97 n easy 2 handle. it fits in my pocket easily. its design is awesom n vry attractive. its hav 8gb onboard + 16gb card slot means 24gb of total memory + 300mb ph memory wit 128mb ram make it vry fast.. its battry back up is also good.it gives abt 30hours music play n sound of its latest designed sterio head-set is awesom n d best of all ear-sets.. its 5mp carl zeiss cam wit Dual LED flash+auto-focus make its pic vry clear n bright.. my suggestion is jst use d set for a single tym n u never look 4 d others..n now its price is 17,800K only..!! jst take dis chance frnds..

After using the mini for 2 weeks I finally conclude that its not great as a phone - maybe as a PDI. Performing simple operations such as going to "missed calls" and save it as a contact is very cumbersome since there's no more obvious "call register". After ending an incoming call from a new number, the phone does not give you the option to save the number. One can enter any conceivable piece of information under contacts except the person's birthday - unless you save it under anniversary. You seemingly cannot change the font of text messages, only the size of icons. Rather lame considering the price!

kebabom, 15 Sep 2010which one is better?? nokia n97 mini or n97 ?? I would go for the Nokia N97 mini, because as compared to the N97, the N97 mini is less bulky and fits very easy in the pocket. Appart from the N97 having an in-built phone memory of 32 gig the rest of its features are the same as that of the N97 mini. My choice...the N97 mini

For battery life, it can take two days with normal use, but i em used to charge everyday just in case, or when i connect to computer is starting to charge self, so it does not bother me that.
It's really addictive phone to do more than i can do with laptop, and sens i have N97mini it does not interest me any other phone at all, no meter wot phone is, and if i look at any other phone, actually is just curiosity and that's all.

N97 is a very classic cell, but has hanging problem some times a well as in night time if you are not using whole the night it will be hanged mostly...
