i wish nokia would bring this phone back in a heavily updated format.the screen is not that big of an issue.but nokia cant wait to launch a phone,to forget it and move on to their next.

Nokias biggest problem with the N-Gage is attempting to market the handset as a handheld gaming system, as opposed to a phone that played games. As a phone, the N-Gage was ahead of its time in terms of just how much you could do with it, and it had a much larger, clearer screen than your average phone did before the age of Touch Screen. This was ambitious. The main issue is that their lack of experience led to them putting out a system incapable of getting decent developer support. Starting with no installed userbase in an industry all about dedicated fans didn't do them any favours. An awkward button layout and non-standard screen shape frustrated gamers and developers. Promises of true 3D gaming on a system that couldn't quite handle it and jumping the gun on online gaming jacked up the price of the system, but the features were only half-there. Getting SEGA, of all people, on as a major collaborator was a big mistake. We're talking about a company that sank four consecutive platforms in a span of about 10 years.
To GSM Phone users, the N-Gage was an interesting gadget and a good phone (side-talking aside), but to the gaming industry it was a flop from the start.

I had this phone for quiet a year now and I bought it on E-bay. I love everything about this phone especially the sound quality and tons of applications ready to be downloaded. And of course, the games!
