the ngage has the same symbian os as my nokia 3650. in order to play mp3's on my phone I found software online(google) for the os for the phone, thats right the phone should accept symbian os programs. there is even a movie player from lonely cat software. I convert and watch tv shows and movies on the phone. I had to buy a 128MB mmc card but I can hold 2 tv shows and about 50 low bit mp3's and still have room to spare. so the bottom line is to look into symbian os s60 software with .sis extentions. Have fun looking!

people. people. people. ease up. QD lacks a lotta features compared to N-gage. Firstly Stereo. amazing sound quality in old n-gage. Radio. Record From Radio, Recoord from an external source. Play mp3s on external speakers via n-gage. n-gage ROCKS. As for sending mp3 file, well u'll need a software. its called MsgDriveE. with this, the msg are stored on memory card. Find it or mail me for it.

Hey guys!
Its been a month since I bought my N-gage. I am an extra-experimental guy and so I got loads of software and stuff and did loads of nonsense with my cell. Till now I have gone to the service centre 8 times and my BPL mobile service centre 2 times and got a sim card change.
But whatever people may say, I find N-gage a PERFECT phone for people who like gaming and listen to music. hello.....i just got..n-gage qd 2day..
now...i have joined the n-gage gang...too..its nice to see..u ppl helpin each other..to get best things for the n-gage....i bought..256 mb card..4 ngage..but..i m not a mobile expert...and i dont knwo wht all softwares...to download...
i m going..to buy bluetooth..dongle 2day..
so..plz tell me tht wht r the best selling softwares for n-gage....and which are the famous games i should get it....
i mostly... want softwares for...
1. viewing full screen video
2. putting themes
3. reducing the size of video & mp3 to transfer thm frm pc to mobile
and if u know..some more good softwares thn plz tell me.

Does QD support themes, like the one in 6600?
U guys heard of smartlauncher? I think the themes can be installed into QD if we have smartlauncher. anyway, advice needed.

Hi all,
Where can i get Nokia Multimedia Converter? Its found in the PC Suite? The problem is im not able to use the pc suite becoz i do not have a bluetooth dongle.
My friend are using Nokia 3660 PC suite which enable him to convert a sound file into .wav and the size is suprisingly small and yet the quality is still there.
help please.

U can Use winavi, herosoft ....
2. software to use to convert videos into 3gp or avi?
Use Nokia MultiMedia Converter to creat 3gp files, use SmartMovie conver to creat avi file
3. smart movies only support avi?
may be, its not support .3gp files
4. what is the resolution that is playable on QD?
best in 176*208 (just try above video convert programs, its auto resize video res)
5. can mp3 files be set as a ringtone?
U must convert it to amr or Wav to set as ringtone
6. when converting into wav files, which frequency to choose so we can have minimal size w/o sacrifising too much on its quality?
I use 8000hz/8bit/mono , but its depend on yours kind of sound!

hi again,
are our messages stored in the phone memory? Well, if yeah, can we change it so the messages are stored in the MMC card instead. i have this problem when my friend try to send an mp3 file to me via bluetooth. since the messages are stored in phone, and our phones only have 3+ Mb, its impossible to receive the file. halfway thru the sending, it will ask u to clear some memories.
anyone can help me out on this?

I hv a same problem like the one here. U c I hv 6 QD game in total in my MMC with other file like mp3, the problem is when I played a game (any of it) the game will be like "busy" for a while (arond 2 minit) everything went so slow and make the game quality down. I had try to reduce the MMC available memory from 20MB to 40MB but didn't help. More important when playing multiplayer with n-gage these problem affect us both, I hv to admire that n-gage might not hving these kind of problem since the user had use for long time and the available memory is around 40MB in MMC. Could anyone kindly resolve everyone problem.
I really appreciated if someone know how to deal with it. Tq....Kweh.

Hello. it is good to hear so much QD fans here n I am delight to b here. I hv read though the message on post. Some are new to me and some are different opinion to me...anyway tq for the message.
There are chinese version for the QD though... it is T9fep..but I forgot the address.
It was amazing that someone still believe QD support stereo. Here I didn't agree with it, check this out!A simple test by using the mp3 play in the mp3 software in QD, listen to the different sound and you will notice it. Here I didn't hv any good sample but I notice it in this song "white reflection" song in gundam wing endless waltz.
