Excellent connectivity options for the price (including HSDPA), touchscreen display, 5 Mp camera.

Traditionally, Nokia battery management is adequate. In any case, with 3G enabled it can run for about 3.5 hours and five hours for talk time.

I tested the quad-band (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) Nokia X3 Touch and Type in Bahrain with Batelco services, and call quality is OK. For the most part, the audio was clear on my end but at times, voices sounded muffled, so it was difficult to understand our caller. Meanwhile, friends were fairly complimentary of the sound quality. There were comments of some background noise, but nothing that interrupted the flow of conversation.

Speakerphone quality was quite impressive. Unlike a lot of other handsets, speakerphone calls didn't sound tinny; instead, voices sounded rich and there was plenty of volume to hear our callers even in noisier environments.

In terms of general performance, don't expect the X3 to be a powerhouse. Though I never encountered any crippling problems, the smartphone was often sluggish, even with simple tasks like launching an app. The Nokia X3 Touch and Type comes with an 860mAh lithium-ion battery with a rated talk time of 5 hours and up to 18 days of standby time. I am still conducting my battery drain tests but will update this section as soon as I have final results.

Naru, 07 Oct 2010There is the backspace key, the third one from the top left... more@ Naru : Bullshit. This is NOT a backspace key, it's the music button. Backspace has to be done via touch screen (as can be seen in several Youtube videos). I think this is a drawback... I'd like backspace to be on the keypad.

Don't make uninformed statements! There is already enough stinking rubbish here, no need that you produce even more of it...
