therock, 20 Apr 2011Im not getting brainwash. It is a matter of perceiving what... moreHow can you say that a 1 GHz Nokia will drain its battery fast when it's not even out yet and we have yet to see a working prototype. Nokia can put on a 1900 mAh in there and have a great battery life. The current generation of 1 GHz and dual core CPUs are also more power efficient so the assumption that they consume more power is non sense. They execute tasks faster so in theory, they work more efficient and uses less power.
I feel like you despises the changes that's happening with Nokia but remember that they are on a transition stage and things are still hazy for Nokia's confused fans.

nokia is doing that to provide two ranges of smartphones one being a high end and the other a mid-range in which nokia has already been doing.

again, nokia symbian anna smartphones will remain with 600+ mhz, while nokia winmo devices will have 1 ghz.
also, i am pointing out that nokia 1 ghz processors can drain the battery life so easily.

therock, 20 Apr 2011600 mhz and fix focus camera will remain with symbian anna ... moreNokia's strength is on stamina and I think they will shove in a HUGE battery on their WP devices. I also read somewhere that Nokia is using Fixed Focus cam so that they can use Auto Focus on their WP devices. It's like they did it on purpose so that people who wants Auto focus cam on a phone will go and buy their WP devices. Tegra 3 is coming out this fall and it's a quad and we might see quad core Nokias next year. Android is good but WP is smoother. WP is more like iOS when it comes to smoothness of UI. I just don't like the square icons taking up the majority of space up front and the wasted space on the right hand side of WP.

therock, 20 Apr 2011quit whining!!! 600 mhz is enough to give the user a fast w... moreI'm not whining. I'm just pointing out the weakness of having a slow CPU. You need pure CPU power to browse the internet fast and software optimization won't cut it. You were just brainwashed to believe that a 680 MHz ARM11 CPU is good enough when the 600 MHz Cortex A8 CPU on the N900 is faster. The N900 have a better CPU despite being released in 2009 and it's 2011 now! Nokia should stop this 680 MHz non sense.

therock, 19 Apr 2011quit saying that nokia should use 1ghz processors over and ... moreNokia is brainwashing their fans that 680 MHz is enough when everyone else is using 1GHz and above. You need a more powerful CPU to have a better web browsing experience and web browsing is one of the N8's weak points. The N900's CPU is better than the 680 MHz CPUs found on recent Nokia smartphones and the N900 was launched in 2009. It's 2011 now.
Nokia should stop brainwashing their fans and move on with better hardware. They are not progressing forward but progressing sideways instead. EDoF/Fixed Focus Camera, 256 RAm and 680 MHz CPU on their smartphones doesn't cut it anymore.

quit saying that nokia should use 1ghz processors over and over!!! nokia will stick to 600+ mhz so the battery life won't drain easily. 600 mhz is powerful enough.

Laurynas, 19 Apr 2011Wrong! NOKIA N95 doesn't have a dual-core processor! ... moreWhatever, I'm not interested anymore with the N95, its 4 yrs already in the grave. Imagine March 2007!!! If n95 wins on its era, don't think X7 will win in today's era.

I believe C7, N8, X7, C6, E7 are supposed to be at the same batch as the SE Aino, Satio, Vivaz, etc. & Samsung Pixon, Omnia, Star, Wave etc. & iPhone 2gs, 3gs, but Nokia was just delayed. U r planing to defeat that batch & not the batch of the Android phones such as Galaxy S, that s y after N900 u don't have anymore products released, just now only.
If C6, C7, N8, E7, & X7, was released earlier as the batch of Pixon, Omnia, Satio, Aino, iPhone 3G, then buyers will not say today that Nokia is outdated, & u may win on that competition, but now its dual core era, Nokia don't try to defeat galaxy s with 1ghz cpu anymore because still u r outdated, produce now the more advance model, if Samsung has Galaxy S2 now, same as LG & HTC, then u manufactured more advance smart phone. Even though Galaxy S2 is not yet scattered worldwide, Samsung is thinking now what they can improve with the Galaxy S2. Even other smart phone has quad core cpu now.

Anonymous, 19 Apr 2011Yeah, N95 has dual core cpu, you can check here in GSM Aren... moreWrong!
NOKIA N95 doesn't have a dual-core processor!
NOKIA N95 use OMAP2420, it is a system-on-a-chip (SoC). Technically the OMAP2420 is dual-core, but the second core is a TMS320C55x digital signal processor (DSP), not an ARM processor. And this core isn't used for general processing. That's mean NOKIA N95 has only one single-core processor ARM1136 (330 MHz).
In comparison, the 4 series OMAP has ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore multicore processor.

Thanks Nokia for producing a lot of phone models in just less than 6 Months, u r obsoleting your own products. N8 last 2 weeks is 92% daily interest, now its 68%, i believe X7 will last for less than 6 months only & the price s half as the selling price now. But I am not waiting for the X7 to become cheaper, I'm waiting for WP7 in early 2012.
Its so easy for u to produce hardware, but software is as slow as snail. Until now, the N8 updates is not yet released. So lonely.

[deleted post]It's not even out yet and Nokia is in the middle of a major shake up. Just wait until 2012 and Nokia will be back in full swing. Nokia may be weak right now but they are still a giant in the cellphone industry. I believe that this infatuation with 680 MHz is deliberate though.
