No front camera? Why? Why you build a prone for the future with less specification? All the rest sounds really fine. The phone will be much better with linux like N900.

What the hell is this??? same old 600 mhz prossesor, same old 256 mb ram and same old os just the changed the browser! Nokia thinks that people would buy their phones just because of camera and gud sound.... But in reality nokia is selling the same old conventional crappy phones for years and years! And its time that thay realize that they are left way behind in the race of smart phones and its just because of crappy phones like this one!!!

N8 has all the basic features of a smart phone but smaller screen
E7 doesn't have micro sd slot, if E7 have micro sd slot then N8 will be neglected by the buyers coz most buyers preferred to have a bigger screen with 8mp camera than to have a 12mp camera with smaller screen. So to make the menu sounds more delicious-confusing for the buyers, let all the Nokia's phones incomplete with what the buyers expecting to have in a smart phone. "Business wise!" Same thing here, if X7 has front camera, E7 & N8 will be neglected too, because X7 has micro sd slot & wider screen.
Let N8, E7, & X7 compete to each other:
N8 has 12mp camera, pocket friendly size, front camera, micro sd slot
E7 has wider screen, physical keyboard, front camera
X7 has wider screen, micro sd lot, 4 loud speakers
But for me N8 is the winner (against E7 & X7 to make it clear), coz N8 has all what you need.

The shape of this phone is perfect for Symbian. This is the most symbolic phone Nokia has ever produced! Good job Nokia!

this is the big question now..
i am a 5530xm us... moreIf you are trying to choose between N8 and X7, you should realise that X7 has several features missing as compared to even C7 (I am typing this from a C7).
If you want to take digicam type photos, you should choose N8, else if you want a bigger display and four speakers please choose X7. If you can manage with a smaller display, choose C7, it has FM transmitter, front video camera, built-in 8Gb, multi touch, hardware red and green keys (both N8 and X7 lack this ), user replaceable battery (useful if for any reason cellphone hangs) and an unused NFC. However C7 has only only ONE speaker compared to X7's FOUR!!!!. Also, the new Symbian Anna really does not count much as sooner or later the updates are going to come to both N8 andC7. It all depends on what you want to do with the mobile. As I am typing this, I have internet radio (RadioSymba) streaming in the background and via the FM transmitter, it is playing on my small Fm radio.

yes dear you are right world talks about speed....
they are repeating the severe mistake by not introducing high processors.
once the customer relationship is lost its hard to gain it back.
so dear Nokia i love you very much... but keep the price and speed for the upcoming releases, rather just shaping the same technology.

nokia nothing to say to be honist u really done a good jod and i have a nokia x6 and now in thinking to buy a nokiz x7 cause it,s got 4 speakers and is the best x series lol

No secondary camera!!! Nokia must give more ram, 1Ghz processor(at least) and sec. camera. Without this I feel x7 is incomplete product.

guys guys guys...this is a new phone with so many features that appeals our mind! However you can't neither assume that it'll be a flop or not! And one more thing...that is, I love Nokia's phones that serve consumer purpose from all sorts. Some phones i like but some i like from Sony Ericcson, LG, Apple, Motorola, and Samsung. Though some are not famous, but i look for that which serves my purpose and that which has less cons than pros!

AnonD-4383, 14 Apr 2011i think c7 is better than this becoz it has front cam n nfc... morei know right? x7 has no front faing camera that c7 has... and they have the same specs except for the size of the screen...its ok if x7 has a lower price but its not...i would buy c7 because its cheaper and better, i think?..

disappointmnet...that its ram ram is short and its processor s speed is slow...it should have more than 1 GHZ processor and its has no front camera
