I think it does not matter how much the processor clock a phone has..
What matters most is its performance and capability that is whats imporatnt for the consumer..

pukki, 06 Dec 2010its for better battery life! ih 2 ghz pross then it only la... moreCut the cr@p, we all know nokia users would prefer modern fast processors. But then Symbian will not work correctly. And the resolution Nokia users would want is not possible. Symbian is the root of these two problems.
I get tired of hearing "symbian is so lighweight, Arm11 is enough". Lightweight and still the slowest mobile OS, by far... Because no modern OS is lightweight enough to justify so slow hardware. Whats a OS with no apps running? You can boot up a OS core on any device, and nothing will rily happen, it cant do anything at all. So, lightweight OS doesnt help, support apps for the UI and watever must be running, and that is why we need good processors.

supernova, 30 Nov 2010lolzzz.. all those people who have seen videos regarding An... more"i really never understood this point of nokia... giving super high camera and other hardware accessory but never upgrading the processor speed?? whats with that..."
Its not by choice, ofcors Nokia know people want powerful processors, and would love to make a GHz phone.
But they can't. Symbian has compatibility issues with modern processors. N900 dont have Symbian and is the only Nokia using a powerful processor.
Symbian is so outdated that the hardware has to be built around it to work, and the two most serious limitations are
-no modern/fast processor can be used
-max 640x360 resolution (very low)

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2010Just buy a digital camera if you want an AF..yes they can buy a digital camera if they want AF. But they can't make calls on it. That or buy another brand phone with AF. Or older generation Nokia phones. The newer ones will never have AF as Nokia decided its for Nseries only.

guys the fixed focus is actually full focused and not auto focused. images are sharper and even the background has more detailing. there is nothing bad about the camera. this i can confirm from nokia people.
