Can anybody please tel me why Nokia is sticjing around with "Fixed Focus" cameras. I wanted to take a new phone and saw "Fixed Focus" on almost all the new models, which is hardly interesting

wow... 1 thing i want to comment bout this phone.. SUPERB.. 4 speakers in 1 phone? i dont know how to implant them but this phone will be innovator toward music mania... just wondering if this phone's sound can really match 4.1 speaker in real...

lolzzz.. all those people who have seen videos regarding Android, iOS, BADA... might have got the clue what the laugh was abt... personally the touch experience i got with symbian wrt android was way slow and snappy and it really pissed me with mototonic transitions it had as effect.
and i really never understood this point of nokia... giving super high camera and other hardware accessory but never upgrading the processor speed?? whats with that...want to keep the "Still in HANGING" mode!!

But the thing is you can't take as good close up shots than with autofocus. The thing is that it focuses everything frm 20cm to the horizon. But autofocus is bad in horizon pictures. So fixedfocus means you can't miss focus the camera.

[deleted post]People like you have nothing nice to say except valgurities.... For Symbian the processor is good enough why do you need 1Ghz? to get the "battery low" message every 3 hours? And as for the screen resolution why do you need super high res screen? You have a lousy eyesight i assume?... These things you mentioned aren't necessary... For me i don't give a crap about the numbers as long as things in it are readable to my eyes then i'm fine. If i want things you mentioned i might as well get a desktop

The low screen res comes from a Symbian limitation. Nokia would love to make a fone with good resolution and a good processor, like they did with N900 a year ago, but seems its more important for nokia to force Symbian down the users throat than to make good fones.
N900 is still the best nokia, and it will remain the best nokia for a long long time if meego is delayed. In the meantime other manufacturers increase their lead in the upper half end of the market and leave Nokia to compete with chinese made low end models

i really wonder why Nokia is accting so bullish and not developing the user interface or atleast let users customize it

i hate fixed focus camera. its the worst part of the phone. its of chinese standards.
