The XR20 is by far the best phone I've ever had and not the most expensive. Camera is good, not fantastic, just good. Long battery life. It's also durable. It fell out of my pocket while ebiking (at car speeds) and the phone tumbled over the asphalt. Screen is fine, minor cosmetic scuffs. Still waterproof after the tumble. Also an actual headphone jack, big plus. The rubberized texture on the back also makes the phone grippy enough that I don't feel like I need a case or cover.
Only gripe I have is that seems impossible to find screen protectors for it. None of them fit correctly. While I have kept my screen scratch free so far I would have preferred the added safety of sacrificial glass.

Bought it (6/128 GB) on Amazon UK for £179 in September '24. Now it is £280 for 64GB version. Works flawlessly, using it as a navigation on my motorcycle for the last 8k+ miles—many hours in heavy rain without issues. And as an everyday phone.
Still better in some respects than many middle-class today's models. WiFi 6, pretty much every GNS out there, 5G, and an emergency programmable button. Not as heavy as other rugged phones its size. The screen is readable in the sun. The battery lasts a day. For the price it is brilliant.

2 months ago or so (Android 13), my fingerprint stopped working, did hard reset and all tips and tricks, none worked. Shame.

Android 14 for the XR20 is starting to roll out so for everyone with this phone it is good news you can upgrade to the android 14 now or sometime soon when it rolls out in your region

My device was working perfectly for 2 years but after the last update (August 2024) it started to constantly suffer from Ghost touches
after factory reset & restoring old widgets style it reverted back to its best
then widgets returned to its recent style
then back to ghost touches
Is there a solution?

Long story short, the phone is good, and a few tips follow.
I'm a quite demanding user, thus it took me some time to start using the phone. I'm going outdoors for long time, navigating, writing and running code on the phone, remote access etc.
Had to fight some problems as battery life, using it in sunlight, apps auto installed from my older phone etc.
So the battery life quite frightened me at first, as all settings came turbo jet style. To start with, I turned the battery saver on. The phone works very well and fast even watching a little video, for more than a day long.
But battery saver reduced the screen brightness, so it wasn't that readable in full sunlight. Again, the battery saver settings came to help, and I canceled the brightness reduction when on. Now my dark screen profile phone is readable in full sunlight at noon. 10240 lux.
Still, there is some problem with the display not turning off. It is mentioned this setting is not active with battery saver, I'd ask the makers to consider changing this, as it may pose a privacy risk when putting the phone down.
Could normally be expected that background notifications would lag because of the saver. But I hear the notification on my older phone and on the XR20 at ~1 second difference, not always in the same order.
My phone was not cheap , and I sincerely hope it's waterproof, but haven't tried this yet. My older Kyocera kept with me in the water, and I put a similar rubber cap on my XR20 usbc, however I've seen people using phones in water without a cap. Other phones, though. I will also find a cap for the aux port.

the only reason people will buy a nokia is because of feeling nostalgic, reminiscing the past, all their memories come to life again and the tears they have shed throughout the years. other than that, nothing else. just my humble opinion. 😜😜😜

It's trash. Had my first one 6 hrs and had to ship it to warranty. Got it back, 9 days later and it lasted 2 days and started doing the same thing. Sent it back AGAIN and Nokia sent a replacement and it worked for about 30 days until it started loosing cell signal on both sims about every 20 minutes. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE PHONE. Back to Samsung I guess.
