There is so little marketing or interest in the XR21, I get the impression it was supposed to be released earlier in the year and was delayed.
I should have the device arriving today via the 'Circular' subscription, since I already have the XR20 and don't think the XR21 is enough of an upgrade to buy outright. I was waiting for the Pine Green version which was not available until now.
I haven't seen any figures but I would guess that HMD have not been doing as well financially in 22-23, unless they have managed to secure more enterprise customers. I don't get the impression the new X and G series devices have been very successful, but maybe Counterpoint or another analyst firm will be able to shed some light.

Whats with nearly every higher end Nokia phone and using the same Snapdragon 695 SOC? It's not a very good SOC for the price.

What I like about this phone is the rugged design and the fact that it is actually build for a niche like for people who go out climbing mountains, construction workers, or perhaps people who constantly drop their phone so yeah I kinda dig phones like this

Carol, 27 May 2023Probably now, at the beginning was an actuall french brand ... moreIt's a French brand because it's headquartered in France, but still it's a branch of China's Tinno.
You can take a look at their catalogue of phones and you can clearly notice that their phones are the same as Micromax, Lava, Karbonn, Blu, NUU, Yezz, Turkcell and General Mobile phones.
Similar case with most other brands.
From that point of view, HMD is a truly European company, not just a Finnish company that outsources their products, no matter which company manufactures their phones.

MakeNokiaGreatAgain, 17 May 2023Since you mentioned Alcatel, TCL doesn't seem to be in... moreI think it's better to merge Alcatel products into HMD, just like how Microsoft acquired Nokia and mentioned "Nokia mobile has a new home, welcome to Microsoft mobile" as in their 2013-2015 official website.
I don't think many people are interested in Alcatel as much as Nokia, since all Alcatel phones are given for free to senior citizens in our country by carriers.
