A 778G for 400$, no headp... moreDude, you are simply lying, look up benchmarks and games, 8gen1's GPU is 2-3 times faster, CPU is also a lot better + phones with worse hardware ALWAYS have worse camera quality, for example look up Poco X4Pro that with a 108MP camera shoots worse than an X3Pro cause one has a midrange chip and other a (formerly) flagship one.
If you don't care about anything in a phone (crap gaming, crap camera, no features, repairability and upgradability, software is 100% marketing stunt) aside from design go buy an old iPhone, lol. As I said
It's a 250$ phone at best (maybe 300 if the screen is good) and instead it costs 500$. But advertising is good, yeah

[deleted post]I don't know what you have for a brain. A 6 month old falgship for example is s22 series and Iphone 13 series. There is no way you are gonna get them for 250 bucks. Even damaged one goes for 500 600 bucks minimum

He thinks he's the next Steve jobs, he's just a guy who knows how to market and build hype, that's it. For 470 aswell now which is in a price range for a lot of premium choices, good look Carl and good luck to NOTHING.

Basically good ol Pete made an iPhone clone for android (multiple Chinese firms already do this but OK), over hyped it, used stupid marketing ploys that worked years ago, sort of, but not now (say worked, Oneplus never really sold well ever, lots of people still don't know them). It's going to be a super niche phone with a tiny niche fan base and like essential and fairphone, be gone in a year or 2 or will just do a HTC.
If you want a phone that has some lighting up feature just get a gaming phone like RoG phones by Asus, they literally have lighting and dot matrix panels on the back, will have far better speakers, screen and battery life too.(you can get RoG 3 used for around 400 or less, still class leading in multiple ways). You want a unique looking phone then go foldable or again Chinese brand with UV light changing coloured backs or that use ceramic (most premium). Only positive is LED's in the back of your phone to make it look identical to an iPhone with a magsafe case on, I'd be surprised apple don't sue them.

And what makes the Android phone market sleepy? The same phones using the exact same spec formula. It's become very predictable that most phones with a chip weaker than a SD778 still have the 3.5mm jack and SD card slot, while phones with a SD778 or better will lose it.
To me, the predictability is what makes the market "sleepy" and so I thought Carl was going to "wake up" the market by surprising us with a higher-end device that still kept the jack and SD card slot. It might sound silly, but that's what my logic was.
Realistically I like this phone and the concept of it. I have nothing really against it, it's just the way Carl hyped this phone made me think he was going to appeal more to the masses. Now I know that was never his intention.

from where i am from i can get a moto edge 20 for 100 bucks less and it will basically perform the same has a bigger camera sensor bigger display 144 hertz display instead of 120
