why make this phone when you can take snapdragon 888 (better cpu) and shove it to a new phone and just keep updating the OS for 5-6 years.
i don't need the led lights, i don't need the PRIVACY gimmick (OSOM OV1), just make good phone and keep updating it for a long time.
the SoC can be a flagship of the last year for lowering the price.
for example you can take the oneplus 9 (not the pro) and make it a flagship killer now (it only costs 440 USD now on aliexpress).
just call him with a strange name like 6plus7 and sell him.
i'll buy any phone with great last year SoC and promise to update the OS as long as apple update her phones.

The founder of this company Carl Pei helped start up OnePlus but later he destroyed the company and removed it from its original mission of top specs for less and tried to copy iPhone in everything. After leaving OnePlus, now with Nothing phone, his main purpose is to bring iPhone with Android OS.

I like it. Its almost a wild spiritual successor of the forgotten, and perhaps hated, OnePlus X. It certainly stands out in the Android space
