norm2, 12 Sep 2023then which one should I get?On a personal level I chose the Xiaomi Poco F5. It uses the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor and the 12/256Gb model I purchased cost less than the NP1 I bought. It supports 120Hz refresh rate and 67w charging which is a big bonus for me.

Take away those lights and you just left with an average mid range phone that is no better than many similar ones at a lower price. The SD 778+ processor in this phone is a lot slower than the ones you find fitted in phones nowadays so I wouldn't recommend buying it now.

Justme123097, 10 Sep 2023Hello nothing phone 1 users i am planning to get this phone... moreNothing Phone 1 is a balanced phone. I play codm Br a lot in low graphics and max frame rate for couple of hours. It is for casual gamers I think cause the processor of this phone is getting old. I actually like this phone.

24 hours on v2.0.2
Battery life is poorer. Even with the phone idle and no apps running in the background I can see the battery meter dropping. This is probable due to the battery optimising to the new version and will hopefully improve over the next few days. Time will tell.
Camera degraded. I have a friend who is still on v.1.5.6 and we put our phones side by side and took the same photo of the same object and the image on his one was clearly sharper.
Glyph light strips can now be set on certain apps. e.g. Whatsapp but cannot be set for any particular contact within the app which would be much more welcome.
The brightness hasn't been improved, it still seems set at 700 nits and whites are still an off-white colour.
The horrible looking dot matrix clock is still locked on the Lock Screen and cannot be changed or removed.

After getting os 2.0.2 update,my Phone 1 is incredible smooth and the battery life of my phone is getting better and better. Excellent optimization from nothing developers. I haven't faced any kind of issues yet. The waiting for os update is worthy now😚

Yo, 04 Sep 2023Everyone got nothing os 2 dude. Where are you living. Out o... moreI live in the United Kingdom. Nothing Technology is a London based company so it is reasonable to assume that UK residents would be among the first to receive OS 2.0 but that isn't the case. From reading comments here it would appear that the only country to receive the update is India, but that isn't surprising seeing that the phone is made there.
The fact is that Carl Pei made a promise he couldn't keep and he should apologise to the people who trusted him to keep his word.

Back in June, Carl Pei promised that this phone would receive OS 2.0 by the end of August. He said August but he didn't say which year! This is the first and last product I will ever buy from his company. If he can't keep his promises then he doesn't deserve to have loyal customers.
