That said, parts still come from China, Taiwan etc. But I wouldn't personally call a phone from a British company, built in India, a "Chinese phone".
    At this point, the Chinese government would have a very tiny possibility of influencing the end product. I doubt anyone does this kinda research though.

          Not that any of this matters, because Nothing is based in London, thus it's a UK/british company, the fact that the founder/inventor is chinese has nothing to do with it.

          On a side note, Carl Pei is chinese-swedish, not just chinese, while his citizenship is actually Sweden, does that make his company swedish as well?

                In my country I can already find the S23 Ultra for half the price of the original price, which was still sold inside it's box and is basically brand new.

                Pretty much only iPhones have good resale value and phones that are rare and unique, like some Xiaomi phones and the Nothing Phone (1) and (2) are no different.

                There isn't too much hype at all, you hyped it up for yourself and started to hate it so much that it's unbelievable, dude calm down, it's just a phone, it can't hurt you.

                  TRK, 17 Jul 2023SD 7+ gen 2 is better than 8+ gen 1. It really isnt. The only thing in common between the 2 is cpu performance (same cores clocked very similar) and connectivity (both use fast connect 6900).

                  8g1+ has;

                  higher recording resolution (possibly frame rate too),
                  gpu is faster (and has better HDR support for content and gaming including better sub pixel rendering on oled screens),
                  Quad channel ram vs dual in the 7g2 (51gb/s vs 25gb/s).
                  The 8g1+ has a better modem in it aswell (x65 in the 8g1+ vs x62 in the 7g2, higher peak speeds all round and should be more stable),
                  Supposedly the 7g2 screen res max out at fullHD 144hz, we know 8g1+ can do QHD at 144hz,
                  I believe the DSP is better aswell (a.i. accelerator, can do more calculations etc).

                  So in conclusion, if you count ONLY cpu performance then they're "similar" , otherwise the 8g1+ pretty much destroys the 7g2 in every other aspect you could possibly want.

It's not worth the price to you . If you think it's not worth the price and not interested in buying it then why are you even commenting on the phone in the first place . There are 100 more phones available that you will probably find worth the price
