The phone do'es what i want it to do, ok the camera aint hot, but the pics (I get) aint too bad! My major bug concerning the camera is that it does'nt keep its settings, which is a pain in the r's, having to reset options for each picture!

Well, mines is now "delivered" according to one email, and "dispatched" according to another email. It's always oh so clear with o2...
I'm gonna take a guess at sayin I'll get it sometime tomorrow. I just hope I don't hate it.

Great phone......BUT the Alert for Incoming Texts sounds like a doorbell, you can't assign a Ringtone for Incoming Texts....a MAJOR flaw in my view. I hope they will make some software available for users to download, to enable us to assign a Ringtone!

Stepehn, that is the newest version that I know of. But on mine it was obvious that the phones had gone through a last minute upgrade, as all the version numbers were "updated" with a sticky label.......... maybe that was the real reason for it being late?
The example on the CD has to be taken with the X3 or BenQ S700 or they could be done for false advertising surely?
I don't think that O2 will EVER post a firmware update, and they will only update the other phones if enough people COMPLAIN to O2 about it.
Ask for the firmware update to fix the camera, and keep going on at them until they do it.........

Unknown - O2 arcade is ok but you have to pay for them, Tagtag.com and mywap are peoples own wap sites so have them for free - just not sure which ones will work best on the X3s screen size

True Dave, - it should be better than VGA having played with mine a bit, I now agree the Cam is not v good, in night flash is next to useless, and in daylight when its sunny the pics are over exposed (blurring white were too much light has come in to lens) - has anyone compared the pic quality on VGA to the VGA setting on an X2 (also Benq) as its been out longer the firmware should be sorted - be interesting to see pic quality is like compared to ours!!
Also the demo pic on the CD is V good - but it may have not even been taken with the X3 - wouldnt surprise me!
Anyone managed good pics on VGA and esp 1.3mp quality?

Contact O2 and ask for a firmware upgrade. That should fix it.

To turn off the jingle when you turn it on and off:

Go to Settings, Press 9 on keypad and put it on off, viola.

I also had the problem with the white spot on the camera as well as it's bad quality. Mine went back today.

Very disappointed. The camera is awful. I would also love it if someone could tell me how to prevent the annoying jingle from playing whenever I turn it on or off. Impossible to discreetly turn the phone off...

Just search for midi files in google there are loads of good free ones. Dont type free ringtones, this phone has a connection cable that will allow you to put them on yourself. I have about every rock song availible now!
