I tried to take my O2 X3 to an O2 Shop and they said that they only do firmware upgrades if you are on contract or top up alot on your phone, I am on pay and go and they wouldn't let me had a firmware upgrade.

    If anyone is interested -

You can get a 512MB miniSD from http://www.digitaldepot.co.uk/ for £36.00 (i think thats well cheap) and also once you have downloaded ur MP3 music onto your phone you can set it as a ringtone.

"read on the x4 section that a firmware upgrade makes the x3`s camera better, is this true ,if so how and where can i get it done?"

Yes, this is true. Just take your X3 to a O2 shop and it's for free.

          O2 X4 Review
          Points to note:

Some of the GSM Arena data is inaccurate; in fact the phone sports a 1280x1024 camera, a 65000 colour outer screen, a 64Mb minisd card, and weighs in at 126g according to O2’s manual.

According to some reviews, the camera of the X3 was improved with a firmware update, and personally if the camera meets the quality of the shots I have seen from this update, I shall be satisfied. Shots shall arrive later!

I put my o2 PAYG sim into it but when i try an make a call or send a message it just says handset busy or network down.

does any1 know what the problem is?

                      Sarah & Lyn:
I think you can use the mini SD card adaptor for the Kodak machine.

sarah i was annoyed i couldnt just send to the kodak machine either, so i put all the pics on a disc and gave it them to develop, its a hell of a lot cheaper too

I went to print some of my photos out today on a Kodak printer in Boots and found that the machine only accepts SD cards and not mini SD cards! Does anyone know if there is any other way of transferring photos to this machine (I know cannot send via IR)?

Unfortunatly, the message tone is fixed, and stuart, I don't think there are speed dials on the x3.

For anyone having problems with short battery life, I have found that by turning the phone off and leaving it on charge for 12 hours seems to give it a good 5-6 days life, I also took my sim card out to use while the phone is off, whether this makes a difference or not i dont know...

Once you`ve loaded your mp3 onto the mem card you can select it as your ringtone.
Is there any way to "jazz" up the text alert??

Cud it possinly be because the guy that originally had the phone took it to the shop 'cos it was broken?

                                    Thats what it sounds like.
