Thanks for the advice Charliepie. I will have a go just as soon as I've done with feeling like chucking it out the nearest window!! O2 advised me to go to their nearest shop.... 15 miles away. Not very helpful really...

Helpless > Are your images saved to the sd card? What I do is use the file manager which is the last button (below mms) then you have to select the image folder from the sd card which brings up all the image files in the window on the right - then you select the ones (presumably all of them!) and select a d/l location from bottom left window. Then you click the download button to start the process - depending on how many pics you have it takes a few minutes I'd say.

I'm presuming I'm being thick here... but HOW do I download photos? I have connected the USB cable successfully and manage to download the phone book onto my laptop, but CANNOT get any images to appear, despite handset manager saying that download has been successful!! I have Windows XP.... does that have anything to do with it and do I need something else to make it work ??

You need a mini sd card adaptor or a mini sd reader to upload mp3's Marisa as the data cable cannot be used!
Camera is rubbish and all my higher res pics are blurred.

I know this has been said before but what format do videos have to be in again?

Yeah especially when they don't tell you before buying it that you can't upload with the cable, you think when you get it, you'll have everything you need. But the card reader only cost me £6.99 and works a treat.

have not tried the mp3 player yet but I'm glad to hear that yours is working well! It is disgraceful that you cannot use the data cable to upload to the phone though, this is the 21st century after all!!

The sound may be fuzzy for the sound recorder but the mp3 player is well worth it, just got mine working and it's great.

thanks for the feedback - I think my video sound is quite good too which is kinda strange as you would think the two would be related somehow?! I still have a few days grace to send this phone back but I'm not sure what I'd replace it with as the SE k700i does not have removable memory so would be hopeless as an mp3 player though it does have a radio which is perhaps more useful. Nokia 6230 is also a possibility I guess...

the voice recorder is hissy for me as well, but i think it's much better sound on video recordings which is weird

sorry claire that last message was from me, forgot to put my name! could someone try their voice recorder to see if the sound is really "hissy" on playback like it is on mine? thanks
