Initially I had problems but downloaded the patch to upgrade the ROM - it is fantastic - does everything I need - lightweight case makes it perfect for us females.

I have had the O2 Atom for about a month now, and i have not had one major problem with it, and definatly none of the problems mentioned by other users, and i haven't even updated the ROM version. Mabey i am just lucky and (touch wood) have a good unit. However there are a few things that aren't quite up to scratch,
Firstly the Battery Life isn't quite at the level of the o2 mini but i do still get a good 2 days of moderate use and 1 day of full useage (ie Wi-fi always on, bluetooth always on, surfing the net, playing music etc)
Secondly (and this has been the most disapointing) the housing being black plastic gives the Atom and unfortunate cheap feel, being in the mobile phone industry and i have sold hundreds of phones i know that the feel of a phone is a huge thing, which is why i loved my o2 Mini so much.
However my atom has never hung on me or has it switched itself off, or does it lag.
This has been the best PDA phone, feature wise, that i have had for some time now.
But Hey thats just my opinion.....

To all O2 atom users:
Is it just mine or do all O2 atoms turn itself off for no reason??
My shuts off almost every 2nd day, and I have upgraded the ROM!

Hi.. I bought ATOM just before a month but now sound quality has gone. It worked fine for 20-25 days only. Any one know about this problem?

Just bought the XDA Atom in Indonesia and unfortunately it only contains the Indonesian user manual. Does anyone know where I can download an English language user manual?

I like the look and features of this phone. The only minuses are battery life and non-3G.

Does any one experience any static noices during conversation, it is worst if you use bluetooth? Any solutions?
Also have anyone solve the problem on the extremely soft call volume? can hardly hear the other party is saying.....

THIS WOULD HAVE TO BE THE WORSE PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE ....... These are nothing short of defective ... I am amazed companies release products like this &*% 02 ATom .... Guys & Girls ... DO NOT BUY!

i plan to buy one but there are many comments that said it's not good. i like PDA that has radio. Will O2 have radio in thier new product? How long will O2 launch new product?

I think it is terrible. I have had it replaced from the distributor now 3 times in the past 30 days, no questions asked, as they knew it is faulty. They have tried upgrading etc etc, but same result. The 1st model kept hanging. They replaced it. 2nd model, has a terrible humming sound on always. The 3rd, the humming is so lud, the next person to you will hear it, even when the phone is not in use. I am trying to get a refund, but I am not sure I will get it. I think it is best to stay away, and spend your money elsewhere.

TO ATOM USERS!
Please upgrade your o2atom from www.seeo2.com if you don't know what to upgrade, see in ur o2connect or just register your atoms to www.seeo2.com. upgrade your ROM and camera patch. If you had upgrade your atom and still having the problem, try to sync your atom everyday. which give better result. if you still have problem with it then try to delete some of your programs which you have install in your atom or programs that you dont need, it may lagg, cause of it.
SYNC: if you can't sync your atom, like contacts, calander, e-mail etc. here's the way to use. install outlook from the o2atom cd. after that connect your o2atom to your pc. go to "Tools -> options -> unticks all in window pc and tick the one you want in your pocket pc." after you done that press "ok". IF your sync still have problem with sync, unplug your device from your pc and go to the microsoft Activesync on your Pc and go to "file -> delete mobile device" press ok to conform. And then you try again to connect your device. just press next and ok. after that you will se your sync is working, contacts, calander, e-mail will be in you outlook.
p/s: I had try it, why don't you try it.
