My personal favourite media player is TCMP (the core media player) another free shareware program that will handle nearly any format you can through at it. The program is rammed full of options including the all important full screen option.Enjoy.

Gonzo. Thanks mate. I bought the solution and it worked a treat. Now any thoughts on the best media player to use for full screen video?

Furious funk-i use Magic Button which is a freely available task manager. It shut applications properly and has other fucntions like a battery meter and soft reset-very handy.
I forget where i got it but its licence free shareware so its available all over the place.
      Enjoy

4q8E-It really does all depend on what you wanna use the phone for. I'm no businessman but i choose the EXEC to use as an extension of my laptop.
I use the internet all the time and would be lost without a permanent method of viewing it and my emails. Plus the media side is second to none. Films on the massive screen are a joy to watch, TCMP helps alot.

So if you just wanna a fancy phone go for some aluminium nokia thing with shiny bits.
But if you genuinely need the functionality the EXEC is your best bet.

I am gonna get a new phone/pda. After doing some thinking n research, I've decided on the Exec, the XDA iis, or just a Nokia N80. Now i am brand new to o2, and after reading the opinions here for both of the o2 pda's, it doesn't seem like an ideal choice for me. Should I go for either one of the o2's? and which one is better overall? thanks in advance.

the o2 xda exec would be more appealing to users if if would have mini sreen display and keypad at closed position like the nokia 9500 as it affords the user more flexibility in using the phone

Nookie-you don't actualy need third party software to do this. Each of your contacts should have the option to assign a different ringtone to them.Just below where you input the mobile phone number is the option to assign ringtones.
Remember to store any sounds you wish to use in the following folder:- windows/rings/

There are ways of making tomtom and other sat nav programmes run on the xda exec but i think you have to install some cad files or something similar.
The below link shows a guy on ebay who gives you all the info for cost or you can find the info for free with a bit of digging around online.

                    Hey Guys
Does anyone know of a Sat Nav system that will run on this XDA Exec. It apears that windows CE V.5 is a problem. I have tried Tom Tom 5 and Medion 5 and neither will work.

To be honest i don't think i've had a sinle software glitch/problem and i got my exec about xmas. I think most of the problems have been solved.

I got my exec for £99.99 and try as i might i couldn't get a free bluetooth headset. Mind you they did give me free half price line rental for 12 months (02 600-£30) and one month totally free.

If you ring up asking for your PUK code to move to orange and make up some offer they've given you then you should be able to get them down from £149.99,depending on your tarrif.

Thinking of upgrading to the O2 XDA Exec in a couple of days.

A question for any o2 owners out there - has the recent software upgrades worked? do you notice any further problems?

And has anyone managed to get a free bluetooth headset thrown in with the £149.99 upgrade offer?

                                Thanks for your help

Hey - I just got the O2 Exec to test it out for a day. Its a nice phone.. good graphics - But i suggest not to buy it as it is slow do to heavy resolution and a whole lot of other programs and the first day itself I had to click RESET thrice. I'd rather stick to my O2 mini.

in response to screen freezing between vertical and horizontal , remove o 2 active from start menu and all will be fine , phone key pad still takes soft reset to appear , hope this helps .

                                        Hi,

I dont own an XDA Exec but would like to know does anyone use this machine to trade shares. If you would you recomend it because i am looking for a mobile trading machine-but found new staff could help me answer the above question in 3 O2 shops-

                                        thanks in advance
