To FS,
If I were to transfer the .wav file that u are going to send to me to the MobileDevice folder, I dun have to do the configuration that u mentioned in yr earlier post ?like going to events folder, edit and stuff like that? I will wait for yr .wav and see if it works by just throwing into that folder..

Mini Luver,
Hmmm....cute name. Any association with Mini Me? haha...
Anyway, if you want a DivX player for the Mini, goto
http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1080
and get your free Betaplayer. It is really good.....much more 'gooder' than the the WMP10 that came with the Mini. It allows you to associate most Media files like AVI, MP3, MPG, etc to it.

Hi FS and Mini Luver.
FS is right, using GPRS while you are overseas is a KILLER!!
Had withdrawal symptons while I was holidaying in Malaysia(no PC).
Only had my Motorola E680 and started to use Celcom's GPRS roaming to surf the net, download my mails, etc.
When I came back to SG and received my M1 bill, GPRS charges amounted to $58.
Would be cheaper if I had gone to the Cybercafe instead.
Should have bought the Mini and the SD Wifi card that time...
Anyway, for those who are interested in FAQs about the Mini, register yourself at www.ppcsg.com
This site is really oool. Has links to free software and practically all your answers about the Mini will be 'answered' (one way or the other). The forum pages should be a better place to ask questions.
Cheers !

Wow...this place is really getting lively :)
Hi Mel and Welky,
Did you try to configure your Yahoo mail?
Guess I forgotten to mentioned that you also need to configure Yahoo to place a copy of your mail into the POP/SMTP server.
If you follow the steps listed in the Pbase website (sorry, this is the only way I can figure out how to attach an image in this site), you should be able to read your Yahoo mails in your Mini.
Mark: I don't think it is a software issue that causes delayed mails. Well, sometimes it does.... But I get this feeling the delay may be caused by the Telecos or various countries trying to link up with each other.

Raj,Steve,
My 2 cents worth. This phone is worth every penny except for the cam and the speaker. Other than that, its like a mini PC. Great stuff to have.

I've had an xda mini for the last month and have been having problems texting with it! Ive been using a vodaphone sim card from the uk and if I text to phones in other countries(asia), they receive old messages and out of date messages. Vodaphone say its a software issue! Anyone else had this problem, and whats the solution please?

Fred,
- try to store the mp3 in your internal memory. In your "My Document" folder under "My Music"
- then pls go to file explorer to check whether your PDA can detect your Kingston SD card. If u can see Storage Card folder, and can open to get wat u stored in your SD card then it means ok.

Dear FS,
It still getting the same result.
Even I full reset it.
It's still the same :(
Has anyone encounter this problem before?
Are there anything to do the the SD Card?
cos currently I am not using the SD Card that came with the mini. I am using a Kingston 512 SD.
Thanks,
Fred

nothing wrong where u store your music file.
try this out..
- go to contact photo, select the person name

- in "Type", select the music file u need to assign...

to O2 mini lover,
GPRS??? dun play play....are u Malaysian? If u r, suggested to get SD wifi card better. The charges is too costly in Malaysia. Regarding the setting u can get the details step from your service provider (my case, Maxis provided a details on how to set up GPRS, email & MMS)
Chinese software, i hav trial version for 14days...still try to find the crack file. But FYI, this chinese software (full version) will kill about 10M of your internal memory. Suggested to get read only version :)

Dear Mel,
I had copied the files into my mini.
reformat the whole SD card.
only create a PhotoContactSong folder.
it reset to Windows default ringtone again after it PowerSaveOff. Are there any other configurations I need to setup?
This is so frustrating...
But thank you so much for your help.
This is going to be a perfect phone if I can get this to work.
Thanks again,
Fred
