Its just pulling the songs to the mini my document folder only right? The mini my document folder is referring to the MINI rom itself or referring to the SD card? Hope to hear from yr advice. Guys
Need some help here. Downloaded the Camera themes and the MMS themes from O2 site and placed them in \windows\template. However, when i used the camera, the themes cannot be used at all. The Mini still uses back the same 4 picture themes.
Any gurus out there who can advise me on what to do?
Also, the MMS themes that was downloaded also doesn't appear in the MMS templates. I had to manually add in the files. Technically, this is OK as it is still 'doable', but it just irks me that it did not appear on the template.

Hi All,
Today's papers was talking about WiFI hotspots versus 3G phones. The take up rate for WiFI hotspots are dwindling since 3G is the rage now. What's your guys opininon since O2 Mini is not a 3G phone? For O2, you cant have tbe best of both world as we can buy the WiFi card from what I understand ?

Mel, Try this:
http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/utilities.shtml and look for MP3 Ringtones. If you still cannot resolve the URL, go the first header, ie freewareppc then click on utilities.
Hakz: Sorry dude, can't help you in this area as I've never tried it before. The only way I can think of is to copy the SMS and paste it into a Word document or Note so that it can be backed up.
Arjun
Try Settings, Power, Beam and see if the Receiving Box is unchecked. You need to check this box first before you can receive things via the IR or BT.

Fotonutz, this link is no longer valid. Do you know where else to download the patch for MP3 to be used as ringtone.

The DConnex can be purchased in SLS from either, Intercontinental, STS Communications, Bits & Bytes or AAAs.
The DConnex is about S$350-$380. There are some higher end models which costs more than S$500. Seller claims that the reception is faster, but the DConnex works relatively OK with me.
So far, the GPS is more accurate than the Map itself hehehe.....But when you stop at a traffic light, it tries to be smart and predicts your movement. When it realises that you've stopped, it goes crazy for a while. But once the car moves, it is OK.
Actually, the problem is not with the GPS Receiver, but the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack problem. Although MS is supposed to come up with a patch that will address this issue, I can't seem to find it yet. What happens is that at times, you cannot seem to detect the satellites at all even though you've managed to pair the GPS and Mini. Sometimes, it takes about 30mins-45mins to detect the GPS. By that time, you would have already reached your destination. Duh !!
This is not the GPS fault, but it is the Bluetooth stack problem. Will see if I can find the patch and let you guys know.

Thanks Fotonutz. but where do i get the GPS receiver? available at SLS?
I tried the patch for setting the ringtone with MP3 file. it actually do is copy that file into \Windows\Ring after u select the file. it's rather convenient.

For the GPS Maps,I'm using AGIS and KingMap2. KingMap2 seems to better than Agis. Pair it with a Bluetooth GPS Receiver and you have a GPS system in your Mini.
Redwyrm: The Lexar 1GB costs $130 at Active Foto. Not too sure if Eastgear or Alan Photo can offer a better price. Thinking of getting one piece myself as I'm addicted to converting my fav DVDs into avi format for the Mini. With a 1GB card, I can still put about 4 movies plus the rest of my data in there.
Mel: Don't buy from Telcos, goto places like SLS, Harvey Norman or Courts. They have 24 mths interest free and you don't need to buy it with a line. Got mine from Courts in Dec becos most of the shops dun have it. It was the demo set on display and I grabbed it as it was still very new.
