Hi Alan, I think you did not put your bluetooth in search mode. Turn off your bluetooth & then press and hold your bluetooth power button until its light starts flushing quickly. Then try to search with XDA.

Is it possible to connect this phone to a laptop via Bluetooth and access the interent on the Laptop despite the phone not having HSCSD?
Also, does this phone support stereo output for music if paired with a stereo BT headset?

It is a great phone. The best I have used so far.The only problem is the place of stylus which is at the bottom of the phone. This usually becomes loose.Stylus should have been at the top.

Does the softwear on the phone only work with Microsoft Office or will it work with Lotus notes?
Thanks

I have had this model for 9 mths and did not take out the optional insurance. The only problem I have had is that the stylus pen would not stay in its holder which is situated at bottom right side of unit (not the best place.) So with no stylus, you can still use the touch-screen functionality with your finger nail!!!

Alot of you guys are having a trouble with the WiFi internet conn., well.. if you have a laptop and you have a wireless internet conn. at home then its jus how you connect the laptop to the wireless router. The pass key is what you or your network administator has it. Check the router settings.
I am also planning to buy mini s, i really like that phone but can someone tell me if there are any other defects in it?

Its a great pda but reception as a phone is pretty poor, difficult to use in a car. Had it 6 weeks and not sure if its what I want, which was one piece of kit as a pda and phone.Quite bulky and poor car kits and cases. Touch screen can cut you off if you are on a call due to your ear touching the screen. mmmmmm not sure!

Only brought the phone 3 days ago. My first real problem was setting up the wifi. After a very lengthy chat with tech support, it was revealed that I can only connect to my home wifi if the live box was set to WPA only. Unfortunately, this means I am unable to have wifi to my laptop as this requires WEP or WPA together. Further to this, I can no longer acces wifi or GPRS internet! I have again spen some time talking to tech support and they can not resolve the issue. They believe it to be a software problem. The solution? To take my phone back and have the handset exchanged. Not a very good start I must say. Aside from these problems, the phone is excellent. It's functionality and features are exactly what I want in a PDA.

Having been a committed Psion user for years, I have been looking to update to a phone/pda for sometime now and got the MiniS on a yearly upgrade deal and I am very, very impressed. It syncs beautifully with Outlook, Word and Excel. I had some difficulty getting access to the Internet and to my emails, and eventually rang up the O2 helpline, who were very helpful and sorted it out. My only small gripe is that the way the weekly display choices outlook calender offered were very limited, but that was soon rectified by downloading a choice of excellent software - PocketBreeze, PocketDay and the one I eventually chose PocketInformant. I would whole heartedly recommend this excellent pda. I was worried that many reviews had criticised the phone sound quality, but having been very disappointed with my previous top of the range Samsung, I was pleasantly surprised.
