      Hi,

I had the same problem with the XDA mini S you need the latest activesync 4.1 software, from then on everything went smoothly, have fun. :-)

I read on another forum that currently there are no conduits for syncing Windows Mobile 2005 devices with Macs.
Hopefully it's just a matter of time.

Also had a reply back from TomTom support.
They're hoping to have a patch for the XDA Mini S soon.
No timescale offered or advice on whether you need the Mobile or Navigator version.

                  hi guys,

I'm really interested in getting this phone, but I use a Mac- can I sync it to my Mac, despite it running on Windows software? How do I do that- do I download a separate app? Also, will I miss out on some features because I won't be on Microsoft, or, after downloading whatever application to make it Mac-friendly, will it run just as smoothly on my Powerbook??

                  Thanks! :)

You can write text messages with the slike keyboard, with the display kyboard, with number pad, hell you can even use handwriting recognition. It has t9 dictionary to ease all typing.

Can anyone tell me why the O2 Mini S is running slower processor? Is it actually a dual processor?

                            I've emailed TomTom this morning.

They've released version 5.2 which mentions it includes support for Windows Mobile (200)5.

Although the XDA Mini is classed as a pocket pc,
as it has the Mini SD slot,
I'm asking TomTom whether I should purchase NAVIGATOR or MOBILE !?

Dave, you should check with TomTom rather than o2 if it's compatible.
At this time, TomTom do not support WM5.

There are plenty of threads on the internet however that deal with getting TomTom Navigator 5.1 onto the Wizard platform.
Something you should note is they all refer to the TomTom Navigator and not TomTom Mobile.

SD and SD mini are both storage card.

Just copy from your computer and copy back to your SD or mini SD cards.

I just bought an XDA mini S from O2 - before buying they assured me that TomTom Navigator 5 was compatible, so I spent £200 on TT5 & now find that I can't use it because TT5 is on SD and the XDA mini only takes SD mini cards. Is it possible to get an adaptor to read SD cards on the XDA mini, or is it possible to copy the software onto a SD mini card? Thanks.
